Cardinals have reached agreement on contract extension with starting Center Hjalte Froholdt !
- C Hjalte Froholdt signed a two-year contract extension worth $12 million with $8 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
By the time the 2023 season ended, however, Froholdt had turned into the anchor in the middle and a key part of the offensive line. So it came as little surprise Wednesday morning when Froholdt -- who had been headed into his contract year -- signed a two-year extension with the Cardinals through the 2026 season. NFL.com reported it is worth $8 million in guarantees.
9 extra, it turns out, and it won't all be this year.Called it! Fro, White and Hernandez targets for extension.
Great move. Extend the players that are part of the solution.
I read it as 12M of new money
He could easily be productive for 3-4 more years past 30, too.6 mil per year puts him tied with Ethan Pocic and Ted Karras for 9th highest paid C. Pays him age 30 season.
I like this deal. Good job Monti.
It's a good deal for a guy who had one year of quality production in a new role. Good deal for both and Fro gets to be up for a new deal after Creed and Linderbaum potentially set a new market. He could easily be productive for 3-4 more years past 30, too.
