BATTLE CREEK — The fans have spoken.

The winner of the latest Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is Holly Talbert of the Climax-Scotts girls basketball team.

Fans got behind Talbert to help her edge finalists Elli Foley, Kyleria Guest and Austin Burns. Talbert received 69 percent of the vote by the 5 p.m. Wednesday deadline. Thanks to her fans, she is being featured in this Enquirer Athlete of the Week Sunday spotlight.

Holly Talbert helped Climax-Scotts win a Division 4 district title in girls basketball as the Panthers defeated rival St. Philip, 45-41. Talbert had 20 points and five assists as Climax-Scotts advances to the regionals.

"Holly has averaged over 20 points per game in the postseason. She has been instrumental in our team's success this year. She takes tremendous pride in her game and has evolved into one of the best players in the area," Climax-Scotts girls basketball coach Chip Paddock said.
