once again my biggest complaint about the article is that is just isn't true

the guy does seek out this lifestyle, he is hollywood, he hasn't had to struggle or live a middle class life for a long time and never will have to again

as for if the hollywood life can be a distraction - all i'm saying is that it COULD be an issue - the level of committment needed to play against NFL opponents from the QB position is one of the highest in all sports - he is taking a big step up in the level of defenses faced - the guy hasn't thrown an NFL pass yet so there are hundreds of unknowns - one of them will be how he responds to struggling, to getting knocked around

it is not unreasonable to think that he will respond with great determination and make himself a great QB - it's also not unreasonable to think that with all the money he's going to make and all the success he can have off the field that he could fall into a comfort zone and never take himself to the next level

the reason why any of this can be debated is that is unknown

I don't know why I am bothering to get into this discussion (could it be that there is no football going on).

This whole discussion of Hollywood/not Hollywood is ridiculous. How are celebrities (be they Hollywood or sports, etc.) any different than the rest of us. Point is, they are not! Some people are partiers, some people are family oriented, others are workaholics, etc. So whether or not someone is in the public eye, i.e.- a celebrity, doesn't change who or what they are.

Matt Lienart is a celebrity, and therefore he gets the attention of such. But how is he any different than hundreds of other rookies, drafted or UDFA, that were partying following their "signing" with an NFL team. Or partying on a regular basis, for that matter. How many of us, "regular people" attended a few parties and clubs during our early-mid twenties??

Celebrities eat, drink, party, vomit, and **** just the same as the rest of us. What is the fascination???

I just hope Lienart can play football! What he does on his free time... I couldn't care less!
