Bought a Blendtec about a year ago and now I make my ice cream in that. I have a mean spinach ice cream recipe.
I keep meaning to post in here...DCR bought me the ice cream maker attachment for my Kitchenaid mixer for my birthday. (I don't think I even knew they had one). Made a batch of Caramel Pecan. I think it turned out really good. Like schutd said, it definitely needs to go in the freezer to firm up after making it, though.
Hard to keep making ice cream on a diet, but I'll give it another go here soon!
Make with the recipe sharing, Bada!
I love it. The only drawback I have is that you have to keep the bowl in the freezer, and that just takes up space. If you know you're going to be making ice cream, then you can throw it in a couple of days ahead, but if you want to be able to make it when you feel like it, then you have to store it in there. How does that work? Pretty good? Any drawbacks?

In my house, it's only true homemade ice cream if you use Eagle's Brand.
