I just started watching Cards football when I moved here last year and Mathieu was coming off his injuries. But, man, what a difference an offseason has made. The kid is really a force- great instincts, gets to the ball and hits a ton. I just hope that small body can hold up over time playing like that. The kid can be a great player.

He made a couple of glaring errors in this game. One missed tackle on the touchdown was huge.

There was a play late where he went low and basically picked a guy up to put him down. the Saints big guard they got from Seattle didn't like it and shoved HB and he shoved him right back and got in his face. He was so much smaller than the guy but no fear at all, right in his face and then started cheering on his teammates to fire up.

Made mistakes yes, but he made some terrific plays too.

I would be in anyones face to if I were wearing a helmet and pads.

Not saying HB couldn't handle his own, but these guys are fine with getting into others faces as they have the pads/helmet and they have the team behind them to.

He was talking smack after every play the entire game. He backs down from no one.

Love him. He's out there to play.

He's back and is already the funnest player to watch on the field. Love him.

Hopefully with some of the extra cash they have, they lock him up now before he gets really expensive.

So glad the Cards took a chance with him and others did not. He is taking advantage of the 2nd chance (3rd if you consider the knee surgery). Happy for him and hope they lock him down soon like bankybruce stated
