I set up the conferences and divisions. These will be represented on the site once the draft starts.
Since our divisions aren't arranged geographically, I didn't think it made sense to use words like "Eastern." So instead I used the names of past great players, sort of like the NHL used to.
I did consider "seeding" last year's finalists, the Gilbert Gimps and the Hannover Amares, into different conferences, but I decided that that didn't make any sense before the draft has even started. So, as luck would have it, they wound up in the same conference, which means there will be at least one new finalist this year.
If anyone would like to know what randomizing algorithm I used, let me know and I will e-mail an explanation.
