This is our reward for another poor season?
oh well - it's only $5 per ticket...

Or another $50 per year.

I am up to $550 now.

This will be my 6th year, I have pretty much decided that $600 is too much to pay for a losing team (25-55). If we suck this year and they follow with another $50 increase I am going to have a tough time justifying renewal in 2008.

You guys say that every year and then go buy your new tickets. Face it! You are addicts and need to go to rehab if you want to break the cycle. I keep buying my Season Ticket on Direct and the prices go up every year. Even bought a big screen LCD TV this year and the new R-20 receiver/recorder. I think I need a new sofa now as I have worn mine out so my wife tells me. It cost me more I think to be a home addict than you guys who are whining about ticket prices in AZ. Cut back on your booze that will cover your increase.

John if they would have kept Green, I probably would have cancelled Sunday Ticket.

But then I would have ended up in a bar every Sunday watching the back corner TV with no sound.

Its hopeless, we'll never be able to really tear ourselves away from this.

I have never said that before. I could justify $300 per year even at SDS. $500 in the new stadium, sure. But if this trend continues it will be $600 per year. Sorry but that is pricing me out for all this losing. I still be a fan, but I will go back to listening to the home games on the radio.

In my case this year is put up or shut up when it comes to the Redbirds.

Besides I am still pissed about the security treatment we are getting at the new stadium. When my 65 year old buddy is getting tasered it is out of hand.

The novelty of the new stadium wore off quickly last year... I had to seriously convince my son and his friends that "this Sunday" would be different. 'Course, it never was...
I sit 12 rows off the field in sec 102. The losing and the opposing fans (who grew as the year went on...), make it very difficult to justify not only the ticket price, but the cost of beer, soda and food...
I'm with KoC on this one... '07 is THE year for me. If we can't get to 8 wins minimum, my seats are gone...

I agree that this year is it for me. Not because of the price but more the fact that I can't take my kids every game and the product has sucked even in a new stadium. The drive over and back sucks as well unless I move over there. So there are alot of cons to keeping 4 season tickets in the lower level. Maybe I will just take over DuckJakes upper seat and stay at the tailgate longer....that would be funner I think. They have to make playoffs for me to re up next season.

It was reported on the radio that there will be a price increase every year (including this year) for the next 5 seasons.

I'll continue to pay. We used to sit on the 50 yd line. Now my seats are end zone.

Despite the continued failure of the team, I still reach the end of each season regretting its ending and anticipating the next one. I'm a lifer. I bitch, question, agonize and suffer letdowns. And I love every season. Every single one.

50 x 5 = 250.

500(last years price) + 250($50 increase for 5 years) = $750 for one end zone seat.

I'll pay that if they win, soon. I am not paying $750.00 per year for losing crap. $500 yes. $750.00 no way.
