The U.S. women's national team snuck past Spain 2-1 in the round of 16 at the World Cup on Monday in Reims, France, thanks to a pair of penalty kicks, to reach the quarterfinals. Team captain Megan Rapinoe scored both goals for the United States, each on controversial penalties. “That showed she was off her game,” the longtime U.S. goalkeeper wrote.
