9-10 and I'll take check downs all day long... Who was the last Cards QB to go 9-10 HMMM Matty Boy!

People toss him to the Texans cause he checks down
I'm from Lakeside are you Pinetop ED?

Heard Blueridge won state ?

If he suddenly learned how to throw the ball more then 5 yards down the field he will be fine, I wont believe it till I see it. Every team in the nfl will still stack the line of scimmage and make him beat them down the field with his lack of arm strength.

You're probly neighbors with my parents Thesmel, they live up in Show Low.

Matty finished 10/13 for 57 yards man. Accurate, yes, but that's like 5 yards per attempt. That doesn't even qualify as checkdown with their running game.

PS. Acho is a beast, why wasn't he starting sooner, he's a difference-maker.

Captain Checkdown did take ONE shot downfield for 23 yards that was called back by penalty, but other than that...

IMO, that's what the primary problem was. Matt showed a lot of promise early, but then when he got DRILLED into the ground and broke that collarbone, he was done physically and mentally.

Captain Checkdown outplayed by a rookie. How embarrassing.

Foster finished with 67 yards on 22 carries with a long of 43. Jags run defense is pretty good. Lets face it, Houston QBs and defense kept them in the game.

54 passing yards means he led the team to 17 points? I could probably throw for 54 yards on 4ypa against the jags.

He did. The rook didn't. I don't know how you can argue that.

On the flip side, 70 yards and 50% completion means ML was "outplayed?"

ML moved the team and scored. He did what he was asked to do. The rookie couldn't even do that.

If it is so easy to throw against the Jags how have they held opponents to the 6th lowest ypa in the NFL this season at 5.6?

Yea Cheers, Charlie Clarks, The office, dates me! Brass stag was the best ever in lakeside!

Well captain checkdown threw some pretty bombs to Q, Fitz and BJ before Whiz. Sorry i remember a pretty long balls with fantastic deep ball touch.

you don't just knock out 100+ QB ratings and be the first rook QB to throw for 400+ , 2 tDS in the first 1/4 of your first 2 starts, ect. you just don't get lucky that many times in a row.

So we will have to disagree. Josh Mcnown had some great games beating Kurt out for the starts before then... He may finish for the Bears...

We need Kolb back on the field to be ready for next year, I think we are a new GM and possibly a Head coaxch from our next playoff game. I could be wrong. but I doubt it.

Really, two weeks to prepare and all the hype and...what we expected.

Is that the bubbling of a hot-tub in Matt's future? Ah, the warmth feels good, like holding a clipboard and getting $3 mil a year; makes you feel good from the inside out.

Bust for sure. Of the other two "young guns" that were on the block, Vince Young was taken over Super Mario, and the best (as time has shown) Jay Cutler was there in lieu of Beer-Bong Leinart.

Wasn't that the "god-of-drafts" Denny's pick? The one Whizz had to pay for and fix?

Just sayin'...

Never forget it was Denny who brought Warner to the Desert.

EVERYBODY wanted Warner benched, and to never play again, when Denny benched him. Let's remember how painful his turnovers were in his first go-round as the Cards starting QB. None more painful than the fumble in the red zone that took away a chance at a chip shot FG to beat the Rams. That was the game that benched Warner. When he got his second chance after Leinart got hurt, he played very well. But, the next offseason both he and Leinart twisted until the last preseason game.

And, then, the rest is history. I think what he did with the Cards those next two years is just as amazing as his first two with the Rams. It was remarkable, almost supernatural. Beyond what you could credit any coach with.

I thought this was his shot to shut all others up. I think his QB skill sets are greater than ever, but this is the 3rd collorbone/shoulder season ender, 06-07-11.

I'm all out of bullets in my cannon, I can't prove my self right about Matty, again. I'm ok with that. 9-10 great QBing while he was in there, my grade never changed on the field.

Matty can't control injury, and he has done nothing wrong to deserve, vile poison from fans.
