I'm interested in what the Suns do before the trade deadline. This will tell a lot about their intentions for this season and the future.

Probably not much more other than a Markieff Morris trade.

I want the Suns to lose any many games as possible this season.

But I'm not going to get mad when their young guys play well and, in turn, they win a few games here and there.

fair enough.

The Suns made a season-high 19 threes, shooting a ridiculous 58% from behind the arc, and barely won. I really wouldn't worry about this possibly being the start of a trend of unwelcome competence.

well, we've tried the other mediocre way for six years and that hasn't come close to accomplishing anything.

No we haven't. We were in a playoff race and trying to build around Nash for a few seasons during his declining years. We didn't start to rebuild until after the debacle of the 2012-2013 season. The single thing I fault Sarver for the most (after he gave up on giving away draft picks) was not starting the re-build when Amare left. You can miss the playoffs, you can even be a bad team without actually rebuilding as we have proved.

I agree. 19 of 33 from distance isn't going to happen often.

Benching Booker? He had a huge game and played 32 minutes! Warren played 37 minutes! I know you love to spin narratives to fit your inane ramblings but that is absurd even for you.

Totally agree.

Watching the game it did not feel like he took that many but the box score shows Teletovic attempted 12 threes. Interesting, I don't know if that means he took "good" shots or what, but I took a double take on seeing that. He did knock down 5 of them and had 8 rebounds too so he did have a solid game altogether.

Its remarkable how quiet this place gets when the Suns start doing well.

Great lift by Knight, playing with a lot of passion, Warren for 3, Booker for 3, now has 15 pts, 10 boards, Tele for 3, its basically just raining 3's in the 4th! Nice ball movement.

The bowling seems to have helped. :)

Jeff has found the winning formula.. Bowling

Thank you. It's one thing for it to be bad, no need to exaggerate.

Btw. I really enjoy reading opposing teams boards during games. You get a more positive view of the Suns these days from them than from Suns boards. Charlotte fans and the realgm board were drooling so much over Booker it would make you blush. So many "we should have drafted this guy instead comments". More than I saw about Amare his rookie year.

I want to keep Booker, but know that right now he has huge trade value if we wanted to move him. I think he could easily net a top 3 pick.

Lots of love for Warren too.

If you want to tank you can't tell the players to give a poor effort, there's all sorts of things wrong with that.

The tank formula is something like this:

Trade away any older players that you possibly can. PJ, Mirza, Chandler, Morris, Price for whatever you can get.

Next play the kids for as many minutes as possible and let the chips fall.

Continue to give them good coaching and encourage strong effort. You don't want losing to become the franchise culture. (76ers)

Best case scenario you draft a future star, sign a nice player and the tank is over.

Probably not much more other than a Markieff Morris trade.

I think the Suns will move more players than Markieff before the trade deadline (if a trade is to be had). I can see the Suns also wanting to move additional players such as Archie Goodwin and Sonny Weems. I'm guessing the trade will likely include more than two teams and the Suns including a draft pick(s) to get the player they want. I do not see the Suns trading Markieff for little to no value as the trade would have already been done. It wouldn't surprise me if McDonough doesn't have a trade lined up already.

Unfortunately "we" have uttered this phrase for the past 4 weeks...

Everyone on the Suns forum loves Booker too. Same with Warren. The player that everyone hates is Knight/Kieff/Weems etc. Ask those Charlotte fans if they want that trio, they can have em if they do.

Are you for real? Someone says something a little positive about our rookies and you have to respond with THAT?

Make one truly positive post. I dare you.

What do you mean? You accused Suns fans of being negative because Hornetd fans like Booker....and yet to fail to see that Suns fans also like Booker very much. I've very, very rarely seen anyone say anything bad about Booker. If anything, I've seen people say the only reason they watch games anymore is to see him and Warren play. And yes, I've said I liked Booker plenty as well.
