Plot Summary: The eagerly anticipated second feature from the co-creators of 2004's award-winning sleeper hit "Shaun of the Dead" is a contemporary action comedy. Police officer Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is London's top cop. This tough law enforcer is good at his job - so good, in fact, that he makes his colleagues look bad. As a result, his superiors "promote" him to the village of Sandford, where all is garden parties and neighborhood watch meetings. Partnered with Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), an oafish but well-meaning young local cop, Angel struggles to adapt. But he just can't...until a series of grisly "accidents" indicates that foul play is afoot. Suddenly, this seemingly idyllic town is a case that Angel has to crack - hard.

Shaun of the Dead was great. This movie looks to be hilarious as well.

So far it is receiving an 89% on rotten tomatoes. awesome!

as an unabashed fan of SOTD and the ridiculously great trailer DON'T! from Grindhouse, I have to say I was a bit disappointed from the latest offering from Edgar Wright and the boys. It was good and the last thirty minutes were GREAT, but it didn't come close to living up to the hype. Shaun was BRILLIANT, this movie was merely good IMO. But hey, for me to say something was "good" is pretty high praise, but Shaun Of The Dead, this movie wasn't.

My sentiments exacctly. The first 90 was actually kind of slow. The last 30 was fantastic. Overall just a good movie.

I had a hard time staying awake at this one. That is until the last 30 minutes!!! Of course it didn't help that I went to see the 10PM showing, or that I had not had alot of sleep the prior two evening, or that I was getting a head-ache.

I recently watched this one. Number 152 on IMDB's top 250, flippin outstanding. I thought it was good, but not THAT good.

I loved the witty dialogue and the quick-cut style to it. Pretty funny movie from start to finish.

I noticed a few of these things as they happened, but it didn't register with me that everyone single one of them happened:

Throughout the first half of the film, Danny asks Angel a number of annoying questions like "Have you ever shot two guns at once while diving through the air?" to which Angel responds "No - you've been watching too many cop movies! The job isn't like that." Then in the second half of the film, every single thing that Danny has asked about, Angel has to do. He does shoot two guns while leaping through the air, etc. The only thing that Nicolas doesn't do is shooting into the air and screaming. Danny does that.

this was surprisingly an "eh" for me. i had really high expectations as i loved shawn of the dead. this didn't live up to 'em. in fact, it didn't live up to its own trailer which lead me to beleive i'd be seeing cheeky ridiculosity.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
Turned it off about 35 min into it. The only thing hotter than the fuzz was my tires peeling out to blockbuster to drop it back off. Dont know why but it actually aggrivated me. I dont find British humor funny at all though. Not sure why but this movie just wasnt for me.

Finally saw the movie tonight, and I liked it. It was a little bit uneven, especially in the editing (just a bit too much cutting), but all in all, it had a lot of funny stuff in it, and the cast was absolutely great.

Just watched it. Lost track counting all the homages to silly American cinema. Ummm ... Bad Boys, MI II, Hard Boiled, Face Off, Seven, Scream, Ah-nohld movies, and probably dozens of others that were too obscure for me to notice.

The wife and I will be quoting the He-Man reference for sometime, as well as the raspberry + two-finger European salute. Very enjoyable all the way around.
