Sports Illustrated says that the Giants have offered Manny Ramirez a three or four year deal. The Yankees have already won this offseason's "team who overpaid the most for what they got" award, but San Francisco is making a good charge for the runner up spot.

Depends on how much $$ the Giants are offering Manny... Anything above $15 million per and they could surpass the Yanks in the "overspending" race...

BOS will not give up Buchholz for Salty so Montero could net us Bowden and/or Bard according to the Globe. I would stick to the Bowden demands as Bard is has not panned out.
