Good luck to him. If he can catch the ball and isn't expected to block he could be a weapon for any of their franchise QBs.

He made Leonard Pope look like our Tony Gonzalez and oddly they have the exact same amount of receptions.

= comp pick next year?

Without a doubt yes (assuming everyone makes opening day rosters).

Qualifying Players Signed:
Weatherspoon - 1 Year
Redding - 2 Years
Peters - 3 Years
Iupati - 5 Years

Qualifying Players Lost:
Cromartie - 4 Years
Fanaika - 3 Years
Dan Williams - 4 Years
Acho - 1 Year
Housler - 1 Year

Without a doubt a 7th rounder, but I think we get a 6th IMO.

Changes our draft needs a bit. Do we just pick up a scub in the late rounds, or go after one of the top 2 or 3 in rounds 2 or 3. I wish it was a position we didn't have to address. But if we do, I wish we could get a good TE we can get excited about each week. Seems like Walford in the 2nd round would be our only hope there. Williams will surely be gone by then, and no way we waste our 1st pick on a TE. As a scrub, I sort of like the So Carolina TE, Anderson, in Round 7 as Mr Irrelevant:

"Anderson's athleticism and play speed is what NFL teams dream of when looking for tight ends to threaten vertically and create matchup problems underneath. While he needs to add more weight to his frame, Anderson shows the blocking fundamentals to be considered a legitimate combination tight end in the NFL. Anderson's biggest concern on draft day and beyond looks like it could be his recurring triceps injuries." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com

Any other suggestions in this draft?

Doesn't change our draft needs at all. The Cardinals are really high on Fells and were gonna get a good look at Niklas this year. I like our tight end situation

Clive Walford or nothing, IMO.

Williams cannot block.

TE isn't a need. Back to subject. Good luck Housler. Hope you and Dansby gets a statue of yourselves built in Cleveland.

Glad the Brownies signed him. Agree with Joe, if the Cardinals don't sign someone before May 10, should get another comp pick next year. Of course the Seahawks get several every year. :(
