Nobody really knows if Dennis Dixon will be any good as a pro.
First round flops like Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith and many others and later round success stories like David Garrard, Tom Brady and Derek Anderson attest to that. Then throw in an UFA pro-bowler like Tony Romo to really prove the theory that arguing a player's correct relative draft position is meaningless.
And there are many, many other names I can't think of right now and don't want to bother to research.
I do know the 2006 first round QB triumvirate of Vince Young, Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler is showing signs of flopicitis, although it is still a year or maybe two years too early to tell.
Conversely, the 2004 group of Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger and JP Losman is stunningly good, with only Losman a flop.
The 2005 crop looks shaky and the 2004 group of Carson Palmer, Byron Leftwich, Kyle Boller and Rex Grossman is only saved from atrociousness by Palmer.
So wax eloquent in statements of certainty, if you wish, but know ye that history is against you.
