When the Masters started, there were 12 LIV Golf players in the field of 95, with seven of those past champions.

A handful of LIV golfers have work to do to make the weekend at Augusta National Golf Club, including some of those mentioned past champions. It was a strong day for Tyrrell Hatton, the leader of the bunch after an opening 3-under 69, and he was one of four LIV players to finish under par on the opening day.

For others, like Jon Rahm, it was a struggle throughout the afternoon.

Here's a look at how each LIV golfer performed in the first round of the Masters.

How each LIV player did at the Masters

  • Tyrrell Hatton: 3-under 69
  • Bryson DeChambeau: 3-under 69
  • Cameron Smith: 1-under 71
  • Patrick Reed: 1-under 71
  • Bubba Watson: 1-under 71
  • Joaquin Niemann: even-par 72
  • Sergio Garcia: even-par 72
  • Charl Schwartzel: 2-over 74
  • Dustin Johnson: 2-over 74
  • Brooks Koepka: 2-over 74
  • Phil Mickelson: 3-over 75
  • Jon Rahm: 3-over 75

Five of the 12 LIV golfers are in red numbers. Just two are below the projected cutline of 2 over.
