I have been waiting for this game for 9 months and I can't take it anymore. I had my girlfriend over last night, I played Madden today, worked out for 2 hours and ate a whole key lime pie.

But NOTHING can take my mind off of the game that awaits us tomorrow. I didn't go to the UofA game tonight because I just would have been thinking about the cards.

If nobody else has any suggestions, I am just going to drink a bottle of Jack and set the alarm for 10 am (pregame show).

My name is Joel (aka Timm Rosenbach) and I am a Cardaholic.

I got back from a cookout at a family function myself. I'm heading for bed in a bit but I'll up early. Too early pacing the floor.

Sushi with the wife and now back home drinking a couple brews and watching some old 90210 reruns.

Big day tomorrow. :)

Apprehensive to say the least. Looking forward to the game but I am always nervous before.

Higher expectations make it tougher. We need to start the season strong. Schedule very difficult later.

I couldn't sleep last night so I went out to the bar with a few buddies. Today I tried to concentrate on college FB, but it was impossible and just made me feel worse. I watched a movie with the wifey tonight and that got me through a few hours. Then I put the kids to bed and now I am all alone and miserable again. You guys in AZ have it better han me, atleast you dont have to wait until 4pm tomorrow. When you wake up there will already be EC games on to hold you over.

Tomorrow I am gonna have to watch the game at a bar, so that will be an adventure in itself. On top of that, I seem to have misplaced my ID so I am gonna have to hit the crappy local joint to get served as it is impossible for me to watch the Cardinals w/out booze.

Dude - you're a crack-up buddy!!!! Funny post!!!

I remember living back east and waiting and waiting for the games to start. I love that aspect of living out here!!!

As for me... I've got a house full of kids tonight... 14 year old daughter has 2 friends sleeping over, and my 11 year old son has a buddy sleeping over... It's on the wild side right now which is good as it's keeping my mind off the the game!

poppin' pills (for medical reasons) and watching ASU trounce Stanford.

Tomorrow, I'll be poppin' pills too, but that'll likely be to try and subdue myself so I don't aggravate my injury.

it's a weird pre-season-opener night for me. usually this night crawls but not this year. in my current situation, I've so tried to train myself not get hyped up for anything for fear that my passion/excitability will lead me to hurt myself clapping or jumping up or kicking the couch that even though I'm excited for the game, I'm also a little nervous, not about whether we win or not, but whether I hurt myself or not. thus, I haven't thought much about it... but then again, you don't think about much of anything when you're on percocet!

Had a show tonight which went very, very well. Was for charity, but made a few bucks which was an unexpected surprise. Roasted some eagle fans in the audience and made some jokes at the expense of Shawn Andrews. :D

Thought about the game the whole ride home. I'm dying right now.

I laid there staring at the ceiling in the dark til about 5am. Jumpy, man I'm jumpy. I can't believe how nervious I am. At least I've got an early tee time to take away a few hours. Don't care about the early games too much, prolly Tivo Seatle game so I can see them get beat. Did I complete a sentence? Jumpy, man jumpy

My parents flew out from Illinois (to California) and are luke-warm Cards fans. My wife really doesn't like football. I'm in the navy and am never home. Mix those all together and you have a family trip to the Los Angeles Arboretm potentially cutting into game time. We had a bit of a fight about it yesterday and I was presented with the "get your priotities straight" card. So, I'm hoping to catch SOME of the game (like the 2nd half).

My wife is an RN & working 12's this weekend. So it's me & the 3 kids at home. I'm taking them to church as I need some spiritual quiet time. Nothing works better to quiet the nerves than putting your life into its proper perspective. I'm not sure what to expect today as being a 40+ year Cards fan, it's impossible to feel confident. I'm having nightmares of the Niners new offense totally befuddling us & putting up a 40 spot on us. I hope I'm wrong, but Cardinal history makes it tough to be optimistic.
