I don't remember for sure, but didn't Levi start from day 1?

Yes, but that's because Oliver Ross suffered and injury I training camp.

Daryl Washington? Gerald Hayes.

Patrick Peterson? Greg Toler.

Cards don't like slotting a rookie at the top of the depth chart in April.

Max Starks is wretched. Anyone who slots a former Steeler into our line and considers it an upgrade is out of their gourd.

Didn't know Wallace was scheduled to be a FA but I doubt very seriously that Pittbsurgh lets him go. However, he would be my first choice out of any of those guys without a question.

Brown is below average in pass blocking and that is not acceptable for his current salary but Brown is very good at run blocking. Ok, here Leonard Davis part 2, move Brown to guard. Brown goes "I want tackle money", Brown leaves. It is our fault for drafting him so early and putting him at tackle so long as to develop his agent's sense of using it for contract requests. It will not be our fault for not keeping him for outrageous tackle money.

I agree we need OL help, I have noticed that Graves/Whis seem to shotgun help. I would expect us to grab a FA(probably mid-level) OL or two and then draft 1 or 2 OL. This also depends on what we do with our present OL.

Bridges signed thru 2012
Colledge signed thru 2015
Hadnot signed thru 2012
Sendlein signed thru 2015
Womack on IR but signed thru 2012.

Brown signed thru 2012(but cost in final year is very high)
Keith a FA(RFA?)
Lutui a FA.

The Steelers have the worst O-line in the league, and I dont think its even comparable how bad their line is to everyone else. As bad as Levi is, Max Starks would be a downgrade.

Offense FA contributors:
Early Doucet
Levi Brown signed thru 2012 but high cost in 2012 for level of production.
Brandon Keith
Duece Lutui

Defensive FA Contributors:
Calais Campbell - should be Priority 1.
Nick Eason - should be able to replace.
Vonnie Holliday - should be able to replace.
Clark Haggans - Consistent, may try to keep one more year.
Joey Porter - should replace.
Reggie Walker - should be able to replace.
Hamza Abdullah - replaceable
AJ Jefferson - EFA
Rashad Johnson - RFA
Richard Marshall - would like to bring back(very versatile)
Greg Toler - RFA?

Special Teams FA
Jay Feely - up and down year.
Dave Zastudil - would like to bring back
Mike Leach - age may be catching up to him.

I'd like to see Keith and Brown brought back. Keith at least for training camp, and Brown brought back as an experienced backup and bridge to our first-round pick. No reason we can't extend Keith for two years at the veteran minimum guaranteeing the first year, but he might want to test the waters anyway.

I'd like to see Lutui keep his weight down and get a fresh start somewhere like Buffalo, but he would be an interesting fit in like Seattle.

Walker and Abdullah are the kinds of guys you keep on your roster because they should know the system and be able to tutor more talented players.

Don't know the rules on RFAs (joe hasn't been around in a while); not sure if a year on IR counts as an accrued season or not. If it does, Toler is an RFA.

I think that you have to try and keep both of them as it stands now. Brown will need to be significantly less, and Keith needs to show he is healthy, but these guys can play in spurts, and would be nice to keep them around to compete for spots.

I/m not sure that there will be any answers for our o-line in free agency though. We might be forced to address the tackle spot in the first round regardless of BPA which is a thought that I hate, but might be necessary without a 2nd round pick.

WR-Can be had in FA
OG-Can be had in FA/Draft
OT-Draft
OLB-Draft
S-Can be had in FA
CB-Can be had in FA
SILB-Can be had in FA/Draft

At WR:
E. Doucet is a FA
Every one else that contributes is back next year.
Only WR would be a speed receiver to stretch the field.

OG:
Both Hadnot and Colledge are back
Lutui is an FA, I dont know if he will be back.
Womack was on IR this year, dont know if he will return.

OT:
This is the interesting area with
concerns with Brown and Keith and Bridges.
I would like to see Brown and Keith return, but bring in competition via Draft or FA
to upgrade both spots.

DL:
Campbell is the big question. If he leaves, this becomes a hole.
I would like to see another NT come in to compete with Williams and Carter.

ILB:
We have Washington, Lenon, Bradley, Walker.
This is a lower priority.

OLB:
Can always use another pass rusher.
I think Porter is gone.
Cards keep trying to replace Haggans but can't yet.
Schofield and Acho are starting to step up.
Need to Draft another body for this area.
