I'm sure it does. With rookies and guys who have switched teams and systems. I'm willing to bet it doesn't happen all that often to a guy whose been in the same offensive system for his 3rd season. JMO.

Probably don't expect a former Super Bowl MVP starting his 3rd season with a HC and 5th with the team and 11th in the NFL to only complete 52.2% of his passes and throw 3 INTs with no TDs in four pre season games against Vanilla Defenses either.

As Forest Gump said **** happens.

Consider that Whis has commented on Skelton's mental approach to the game several times. He either doesn't get it or doesn't care to. Neither are a good sign for our future.

They are if you want to see Tyler Wilson as the starting quarterback.

It continues to baffle me that Whis seems to put so much more importance on performance in the meeting room instead of performance on the field when it comes to evaluating the QB position. What is it going to take for him to learn the lesson that you're better off with the guy that can take 85% of the offense to the field and execute it well enough to win instead of the guy who can carry 100% of the offense in his mind and on the white board, but can't execute 60% of it because of physical limitations?

I have seen John Elway drop back to hand off a ball while the RB was looking to pass protect as every WR went deep...afterwards he said he was thinking of a different play when he snapped the ball...similar misques have happened to most QB's....actually saw Elway forget the snap count once while in shotgun and get hit in the ear hole with the ball....
Qb's have lots of things going through their mind...tons of things to think about while on the field...there will be occasional missteps....as long as you do not see several in a game it is not an issue to be concerned about at all.

I have been IN on this scenario since the last draft ended my friend. My question is becoming how does the draft play out where we can draft Star Lotulelei and Tyler Wilson in the first round while also, somehow, drafting Shayne Skov AND Jonathan Cooper. OR how to get Sam Montgomery or Jake Matthews?

Right now, I'm hoping Skov has a down season recovering from his injury and Tyler Wilson struggles a bit. IF we are as bad as we might be with iffy QB play, it puts us in play for Star Lotulelei in round 1, we trade 2014 1st and 3rd to get into the bottom thrid of the first round to draft Tyler Wilson, then draft Sam Montgomery with our 2nd rounder, Jonathan Cooper with our 3rd rounder and Shanye Skov with our 4th rounder. OK, too early for draft talk.
