How I Met Your Mother (CBS)

Is anyone watching this show? I've been hooked since last season. Maybe it just matches my sense of humor, but I think it's hilarious! Neil Patrick Harris' character (Barney) is awesome. It's on Mondays at 7:00 now--I know MNF, but if you have Tivo, I would recommend recording & watching--maybe rent the first season first if it's out?

Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there...

I go back and forth on this one. Sometimes I watch and think it's only mildly funny, but other times I think it's hilarious. I really liked the episode yesterday, especially when Barney were showing flute girl all of the ways he gets women to leave after he's through with them.

I probably like it so much because "the flute girl" is Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (which I own all 7 seasons of & all 5 of its spin-off, Angel), aka Alyson Hannigan (Lilly on the show)

this show has really grown on me, although i'm not sure why. it's definitely not the funniest show i've ever seen, but i still love it.

I thought the 'slap bet' show was hilarious--and Wayne Brady playing Barney's gay brother (when Neil Patrick Harris really is gay) was classic.

I own the Collector Series of Buffy, and anxiously awaiting an Angel boxset of the same. I have stopped watching Buffy, because I know that is when the Angel universe intertwines. I do have the 1st two seasons of Angel though. They have sat on my shelf for over a year with no watchy.

Have you watched any Angel at all, ever? The first season is great, then it gets a little lame, and finally the last season or two is pretty dang good. It's a lot darker than Buffy was.

Not at all. I don't really want to buy 3,4,5 of Angel, especially if they come out with a nice boxset a la Buffy. As soon as I get word, I am going to sell 1,2.

I thought that the seasons of Buffy got better and better as they went along (being that I have only watched 1-3 right now)

Oh, man...you gotta keep watching. Angel is a whole separate entity, so you don't have to stop watching Buffy because of Angel. Buffy gets really good 4-7. Seasons 5 & 6 are the best, by far.

So I watched an ep of this a few months ago and I thought it was pretty decent.

I cant look at Doogie and not think "GAY" so the fact he's like a ladies man on this show just kinda... doesnt work for me.

I'm glad some people are loving it up as much as my household is. We absolutely LOVE it.
