Now that we have locked up the division, 10 wins isn't important. We just need to hit the playoffs healthy.

As anyone notice that espn, foxsports, and others do not even have on their main pages that the Cards won the NFC West.

I am not complaining and hope they continue to ignore and downplay our team.

Hey guess what? The Cards are only the second team in 9 years to make the playoffs after losing in the Superbowl. No mention of that. Just all the love to the NFC East and Farve and Vickings, Saints, and Colts.

And oh yea, I want at least 10!! Go Cards!!!!

I admit I haven't done the math but if we beat the rams and GB beats Seattle, aren't we both 10-5 going into the finale? And wouldn't that mean the winner of that game gets home field advantage the first playoff game?

If so that would say to me we really want to beat Green Bay so we can play in the dome instead of Lambeau Field?

I know that's how it is right now I haven't looked at Philly and Dallas remaining schedules to see if that's likely.

You have to win your division to have home field in the first round. We could lose both our game end up 9-7 like last year and still have a first round home game.

Ah thanks, I knew there was something I was missing on why the game wasn't meaningful to us. I was missing that GB isn't winning their division, Minnesota is.

thanks

Yeah, we hosted Atlanta last year when they were 11-5 and we were 9-7.

This week against the Rams

Lienart starts
Wells Starts
Keith and Herman see a lot of time
Beisel and Highsmith play a lot
Gandy is inactive
Adams plays a lot in place of DRC
Doucet amd More see lots of time
I would even make Warner inactive for this game.

Week 17 they go back to the regular lineup.

I just believe we need to give these guys some time off in order to make a deep run in the playoffs.

OMG is Steven Jackson healthy? He'll have 400 yards rushing!

If all our defensive guys could get healthier (especially Los, Hayes & DRC) he can have a 1,000 & break the all-time record for all I care.

Here's my take:

~Play starters and full playbook vs Rams.
~If it looks like we could have GB in the first round (a very real possibility), then we rest and play vanilla, if we can win like that, great. If we can't so be it. We'll see them the following week when it means something.

I concur. What do you think Doctor?

i could care less about 10 wins. Just have the team ready to go come playofff time. Would you rather go 11-5 or 10-6 and be knocked in round 1 or go 9-7 and make another Super Bowl run? Not that they can't do both but i'd have alot more emphasis on the playoffs. I think Whiz plays the starters this week for about a half and sits almost all of them week 17. Besides has anyone thought what would happen if the Cards play all their starters the whole game this week and lose. That could happen because there is nothing to really play for.
