The crazy thing is we were the first team all year to not double Derrick Burgess, he had 2 sacks and was in the backfield all day. The next game the Steelers decided to not double Burgess, he had 2 sacks and was in Ben's face all day. Holmgren said during the week that after watching film of the last 2 games obviously we are NOT going to try and single block Burgess.
I don't know what's worse, that we decided to try and do that, or that Cowher and the Steelers saw the film and decided to try the same thing?
I am just going to venture a wild guess, but perhaps it is because we played them after one of the most devastating losses in Cardinal history (which as losses go, is really saying something).
On the plus side, at least Pope didn't take a knee to the package like Stevens. Ouch.
