It in '83 that I saw my first Suns game live (only game I saw in Phx) and since I have seen the Suns in L.A., Oakland, Seattle, Portland, and Miami. My whole family were Trailblazer nuts and season ticket holders, I was the black sheep and found my own team. Love the Suns!

Moved to AZ in 1982 from NC. All I had back then were Duke and NC games to watch.

We moved here in 1995 and just had a casual interest since they were the local team. But when they drafted Amare, then I really, really became a fan. I still have the 4 page newspaper spread from AZ Central from the day after he was drafted.

Since the Suns/Warriors series in the 1976 playoffs. I started to get interested during that series, and then the Boston series hooked me for life.

Somwhere circa 1987-88...

My grandfather was an original season ticket holder, but I wouldn't say I seriously followed the Suns until I was about 13 or so. I just remember the KJ et al. trade as being about the time I started following the team closely.

Other than that, I was just a default Suns "fan" having been born in Phoenix.

Early 70's for me, I think 71. I didn't even know we had a team until some one mentioned going home from the park to watch the suns on tv, started watching from that point on. They use to do promotions at circle K pick up a coupon for 2 for 1 tickets me and my brother inlaw started going cuz back then we could get 2 tickets in the nose bleed for like 7 bucks. I worked since I was 12 so I always had money in my pocket I just needed the ride.
I still have an Armour hot dog bag they gave away at one of the games it had a bunch of little goodies in it and coupons for different things, I keep my old developed pix from my instant camera, and later moved up to the 110 Kodak.:)
Hey hoover, I might have been at that game, me and my brothers went when I went back for vacation Dr. Jack was coaching the blazers, I will always remember that game as my little brother hollered out at a super hot babe that was wearing well not much, "UP HERE" it was so quiet at the time during a time out every one in the whole place heard him and turned around and was wondering who had the nads to yell that!

I was a Suns fan before there was a Suns...My mama was pregnant with me and she shook Jerry Colangelos hand at an airport and told him good luck starting his new Phoenix franchise....I was listening in the womb and heard "Suns" and thats all it took.

I fell in love with the Suns the first time I saw them on TV. I think I was still around 8 when I saw them battle it out with the Showtime Lakers in the playoffs. I dont know, something just clicked then and I've been with the Suns forever through the Chambers-KJ-Barkley-Kidd-Marbury- and now the Nash Era. Sadle, still no championships though :(

I was a Suns fan when I was little but I never really became a true die-hard until around the late 90's. In the early 90's I was still a big fan. I loved Charles Barkley and he is one of my top 5 favorite players of all-time currently. I had a Barkley home jersey when I was about 6 or 7 years old that I wish I still had. I don't remember what happened to it but it's long gone. I also loved Dan the man and Kevin Johnson. I got to see them play @ the Pacers when I was about 6 years old and I still remember it, not really well but I do remember it.

We moved to Arizona from Alabama in 1971. I was two years old. We moved to Flagstaff shortly after that, and one of my first memories was my dad screaming at our tiny little black and white TV over one of the few Suns games we could get. Moved back to Phoenix in 1974 on my 5th birthday, and went to my first Suns game the next day. IIRC, we got free tickets delivered to us in the newspaper.

I started reading the sports page religiously after the 1975 season and was hooked. By 1982 I had subscriptions to the Republic, the Tribune, and the USA Today so I could keep up with the Suns and the NBA. I had no idea that I would end up working for all three papers in the 90s, sitting at the press box at the Suns games.

The Suns were the reason I became a journalist. Not being able to actively (and publicly) root for the Suns was one of the reasons I left journalism!
