How many baserunners are we going to have thrown out?

Seems like every game, base-runners are out trying to take too many bases. Finally get a hit, but gone ASAP.

Poor, poor coaching.

I thought base-running was supposed to be one of the strengths?

In this case, I don't disagree with his trying to turn a single into a double and start the inning in scoring position. Even thought Steve and BB said the D-backs are trying too hard.

When four of our hitters in the lineup are below the Mendoza line, as BB pointed out, ya gotta try to make things happen.

If he had made it, we'd be congratulating him (after the act) for trying.

Instead we get run out of innings
We haven't scored in any of the five innings so far. We've been scoring a pathetic one run in most of our recent games.

If he had been able to stretch it into a double to start the inning and wake up the team, I don't think you'd be posting that he shouldn't have tried.

When you've got nothing, you've got nothing to lose. ;)
