"translation"- worry about your own damn squad!

When you throw the ball every down and have two Pro Bowl receivers you're going to have good passing stats unless your name is Josh McCown. Warner had way too many turnovers and not enough TDs for my liking last year and that's without taking into consideration the fact that he's always injured.Pariah said:Huh? He played in 10 games and had over 2700 yards and 11 TDs with something like a 65% completion rate. That's pretty good.
I think the 65% completion rate answers that objection.MaoTosiFanClub said:When you throw the ball every down and have two Pro Bowl receivers you're going to have good passing stats unless your name is Josh McCown.

I think since you drafted a well known QB in Lienart that its a good topic.

Pariah said:Hawk seems like a decent poster--he's not here to make trouble. Let's not run him off. The Seahawks didn't get to the SB last year with smoke and mirrors; they're a solid squad.
I run into the same crap when I post on Seahawksal.com. If you haven't found that board, you should. It's good folk, for the most part.Idahawk said:Listen to the voice of reason....LOL....hey thanks Pariah.. Its like a bee's nest...get to close and out they come....LOL....its great you guys are such loyal and hardcore fans....Im the same way about my seahawks...Like the man says Im not here to make trouble..just talk football...will I insult your team at some point ?....yes that will more than likely happen..will you insult my team?..chances are real good on that one...will I get drunk and post babble about nothing...99% chance of that happening..so it all good bros....its all football....enjoy

Idahawk said:Easy there guys....the seahawks fan only posted the same Warner question that he heard on a sports show....and I left a disclaimer when I posted it....LOL

As far as whomever made the Hutch Comment.....I guess the new rushing champ will come from the Vikings now ???
And to be fair....If the seahawks were to go 0-3 they would not bench Hasselbeck.....only cry that the Chunky soup, sports Illustrated, and Madden curse's all hit the team at the same time.
64.5%, and that number was still below his career average, and his QB rating was nearly 10 points below his career average.Pariah said:I think the 65% completion rate answers that objection.
He could be better with ball protection, though. Hopefully a running game will help in that area.

K9, you know that's flawed logic. He was as productive as I said he was--all I did was point out stats--but since we were talking about LAST YEAR and he was a FA this off season, his suitors the year before don't come into play in this conversation.kerouac9 said:If Kurt Warner had had as productive as season as you make it sound, he would have had more than one suitor in free agency.
moklerman said:Something that I think is ironic is that the Cardinals are filling the role of the Seahawks of 2004. Every "expert" seemed to be in love with them that year as a dark horse, up & coming team that'll surprise everyone and make it to the Super Bowl. They fell flat and didn't. The predictions were a year early. I think that will be the case with the Card's. All the hype last year and the team just didn't have enough time and health to gel. This year it's more realistic to express the high expectations.
You're right, it's not an identical situation but that 2004 team was a disappointment(in my opinion). They weren't as good as their 9-7 record and didn't meet the expectations of many "experts". They didn't improve on what they had done in 2003(10-6) and gave up more points than they scored. They got worse when they were expected to go to the next level. For the Cardinals, a Super Bowl is a little bit too lofty of an expectation but they do need to move to their next level which is making the playoffs. Maybe exceed what's realistic and win the NFC West. If they flounder around the .500 mark or below, jobs will be lost.I don't know. I mean, losing in the Wild Card round for the second year in a row ("We want the ball, and we're gonna score!" --M. Hasselback) is a little different than going 6-10.
