He will will have some reoccurence of swelling or something to keep him out around 20 games or so.

Microfracture. That's all you need to know.
Well, if he misses 20 games, he still played "at least 50". That was my only comment.boisesuns said:I though about that, but there is 82 games, so that's why I chose 50 as an option. If he plays 50 then he's missed 32 games.

Yeah, Zach Randolph and Chris Webber sure played poorly last season (18/8 and 20/10) and missed a lot of games (8 and 7 respectively).Skkorpion said:He'll play in quite a few, at the beginning, play poorly, and be through by Christmas.

it is neither mutually exclusive nor collectively exhaustive
i vote for less than 10 games missed but more than 0, i.e. games missed due to reasons other than his knee...

I didn't really want to do like a range of games with like 20 options, it's just more to see what the general thought of the board was on how he will do this next year.
I hope he does miss less than 10. I'm really interested in seeing what some of the people who have seen him play in the summer leauge think.

It's NOT all about Amare. Sure if Amare comes back healthy we have the best shot but we were so close this year without him.
Instead of sitting on their hands and blabbing about how we're getting Amare back we should have taken a different approach.
The Suns could have said, "Let's conduct this off season like Amare's done. Decide who would have got us over that last hurdle this season and do whatever it takes to get him. We're so close let's go over the cap for a year or two and give it our best shot. If it doesn't pan out we go back to the drawing board."
Instead they have done NOTHING!
Chaplin said:Unfortunately, the Suns cannot financially do that, even though you make it sound easy. In 4 months he becomes the Suns' highest paid player for the next 5 years--you can't ignore that when trying to sign more talent.
devilalum said:If Sarver was really willing to take a risk they could have done it.
Give T2 the $21 mil. and trade a pick or two and the exception for a GOOD PG. The Suns made $40 mil. this year. If it doesn't work out they could do a salary dump next summer or the summer after. Its not like they'd have a bunch of bad players with bad contracts.
Chaplin said:Again you make it sound so easy. And an extra 5 or 10 million might seem like a little to you (??), but that's not exactly chump change, not even to a millionaire like Sarver (heck, even Mark Cuban now is very concerned about the luxury tax!).
And again, the Suns tried like crazy to trade their picks, but nobody would trade with them. Is that so hard to understand? Why do you think the Spurs have had very little action in the realm of big trades? Because nobody wants to be associated with making a good team even better. Sure, they have a Rasho deal here and a Nazr deal there, but come on, we're getting John Salmons, which may have nearly the same kind of impact as the Rasho deal.
The fact is, as easy as everyone (and especially the anti-Sarver crowd) makes it out to be, it is NOT easy to build a championship team. One, you have to spend the money (that might not even be available, even if you think these owners have bottomless pockets like Dolan), and two, if you are trading, you have to realize that not a lot of owners and GMs want to make a good team even better.
Is that Skkorp, or Randy Quaid from Major League 2?
