Memphis Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo came to a realization on Zach Edey after watching the film from Tuesday's loss against the Golden State Warriors.

Iisalo determined that the numbers showed that Edey held up against Warriors star Jimmy Butler better than the eye test indicated. The confidence in Edey's ability carried over into Friday's NBA play-in elimination game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Edey's energy was impactful. He chased down shots, rebounded the ball and delivered strong screens to free teammates. His played helped Memphis pull off a 120-106 win, advancing to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
