The OP was trying to imply that the Lakers never had a dynasty. The truth is we had 3, MLPS lakers, 80's Showtime, and the Shaq-Kobe era.

nah my reason for posting was to see if anyone thought the current spurs were a dynasty i think not..

i dont consider the kobe-shaq era a dynasty..

I know this was discussed in the other thread that went off topic(suns playoff matchups). I thought the last post was a great point. but yes if you go by the actual definition of dynasty the only two that approach it are the celtics and lakers. but the way dynasty is thrown out there currently in pro sports.....these spurs qualify. dynasty is over-used no doubt. win a couple...three titles and your in.

why wouldn't the bulls be? they won like 7 in 9 years? i think it was.. 6 in 8 maybe...

and the two years they didn't jordan was gone one season and came back mid season the next..

of course those bulls would be. based on the modern....dynasty standard lol. that's the best bball team I've seen in my lifetime. I'm only 25.. I don't know that I have ever watched a team like those bulls. they never really blew people out in those latter rounds....especially in the second threepeat. they played all of those close games and it just seemed like you knew down the stretch MJ was not going to lose the game.
