Not really. I have a 15 game season ticket pack in the 10 dollar range in one of the upper corners. I can see the court just fine. Would lower level be better? Of course, but the upper deack in the corners is far from useless.
If you are in the upper deck in the middle of the baseline, then you are screwed. Those seats usually suck, but are still watchable.
Also, lower level ticket prices dropped in the top row of the lower level. In all, 31% of tickets had their price reduced. The largest increase was in the floor seat prices. Rows 15 and up had a 20 dollar price hike, and rows 30-15 had a 10 dollar increase.
However, that 10 dollar increase put them back at 85 bucks a seat. My parents had season tickets from 95-2000 in 30th row, and they were 85 a seat. So basically, the team dropped the price for a few years, and brought it back up. It is more of a flucuation than a price increase.
I mean the suns are one of the 5 lowest in ticket prices for season tickets on the lower level in the west. They also have over 3 times the required about of 10 dollar seating. The average ticket price is just under 50 bucks (not incliding courtside), which isn't that bad of a deal.
Since season tickets can beocme expensive fast, as you pointed out, the suns sell different game packs (which is great for me, since I am in college and broke as can be). You can get a half season, 15 game or 10 game packs.
