He was kind annoying in years past but he usually didn't say much so he was easy to ignore. Tonight he wouldn't shut up and he was saying the same things over and over (it was like they brought Joe Theisman back).This game was painful.

Get him back to where he was (not saying much) then it will be tolerable again. I guess since it was a preseason game he though he had to entertain us with his insights which were just bad.

The jerk Kornholio has NO BUSINESS being on MNF, period. Everyone on this board and all Cardinals, Bengals and Lions fans should be outraged how a commentator on TV can talk so much trash about the teams we cheer for. Everyone one of us should email ESPN and tell them our displeasure about this moron. I WILL NEVER, EVER watch MNF with the sound on again. Every MNF game that I now watch will have my Sirius radio tuned into the broadcast. Please, everyone email ESPN your comments!!!

Honestly. I don't know how anyone can watch that show.

Both guys are idiots. They have the communication skills of a kindergarden class. And the insight of someone who wakes up and reads the ESPN headlines, and regurgitates it back as there opinion.

Kornheiser is an idiot. The only joy I get out of him, is listening to him act like an idiot. I imagine he gets paid well, because making that big of an arse of yourself for a living must make it hard to sleep at night.

All this makes me wonder how this guys ended up being a commentator for football games. All Kornheiser does is either state the obvious or verbally attack certain teams (like ours last night). No talk about actual football plays whatsoever!
And if you look at him, it is easy to tell that he never played football at any point in his life. You can tell he when he was growing up he was one of those guys who didn't lose his virginity until he was well into college (and he probably paid for it) and was probably one of those mega-dorky overweight idiots who changed team allengiances depending on what team looked "hot". He was probably a Cowboys fan back in the day, then a Packer fan, then a Bronco's fan, then a Pat's fan, and now a Giant's fan. How do losers like this get jobs like that?!?

But while we're at it - compared to Fox, CBS and NFL Net, ESPN's live football looked more like a TV game show or 3-ring circus than it does serious football coverage.

When I'm watching a game I don't need some hack writer acting like a 3rd rate comedian and trying to entertain me. The game is entertaining NOT THE ANNOUNCER!! They do NOT need 3 people in the booth...who else has 3 in the booth?
Kornhole is nothing, adds nothing, knows nothing and has an annoying voice. He's not an expert on anything except making me want to sink an ice pick deep into my inner ear and turn until it prevents me from ever hearing his dribble again.
I just emailed ESPN again and told them he is the worst announcer and that I will sync up my TV with my Sirius just so I don't have to listen to him

What's sad for me is that I actually like Jaworski and Mike Tureko(sp?). Tureko actually seemed to be getting annoyed with Kornheiser during the broadcast so it's not just the fans. Even I, who haven't been particularly bothered by Favre-watch, was disgusted by Kornheiser continually bringing it up. He wasn't even talking about the actual situation he was saying things like "This just in, Favre traded to the Knicks". Hilarious.

I would gladly welcome Dennis Miller back over this hack. Miller wasn't right for the booth either but at least he was trying to be creative and didn't go out of his way to be insulting. I'm quickly reaching my tolerance level for ESPN and it's strong-arm tactics. Steve Czaben's show got bumped for Mike & Mike just because ESPN said so. Czabe's rating were double what the other show was getting and now we're stuck with more of their drivel. They are certainly what's wrong with sports <ahem> coverage. NO ONE cares about the freakin talking head. At least show a highlight from each baseball game. They often don't even show the score of every game on ESPNews.

Honestly the "bashing" didn't bother me, it's easy to ignore him. He's shrill and rarely entertaining. This is the same guy who goes on national TV every single day and talks baseball while admitting that he has absolutely no interest in any game that doesn't feature the Yankees or Red Sox (preferably both).

The annoying thing was the Favre talk. Jesus harold christ, shut up about Brett Favre. Nobody is interested in this except a bunch of heart attacks waiting to happen in green bay, spewing bile in their #4 jerseys as they shovel another handful of fried cheese into their mouths. Nobody cares. It's not interesting. He is a jerk for retiring in the first place. Everyone with half a brain cell knew he's be back in 6 months. Didn't even last 3.

THAT SAID, I can't imagine anything more dreadful than having to announce a preseason game. Objectively, you have to be able to admit that preseason football is simply horrible no matter who's playing. By the end of the 1st Q, when the starters leave, the announcers have to find some way to talk over 3 hours of practice squad guys botching plays.

All we have to do to shut these guys up is win some games. Nothing like a winning season, make the playoffs, make the Superbowl, to quiet the jokesters and naysayers. Then again, it still sounds like the media is still bashing Manning of the NY Giants for his poor play in their pre-season game.

Actually, I still enjoy listening to John Madden, I always thought he's fair in his comments about a team or player during a game.
