Last two seasons we’ve tanked and ended up with JJ and now the #1 pick. Seems the tank seemed to work out for us and the sixers. Sorry the ride was too rough for some of you.

I was never opposed to losing. What I was opposed to was the constant complaining on this board whenever something positive happened. I had no issue when the young guys would (rarely) play well and sneak out a win. But around here it was the end of the world if they showed any sort of development.

I'm thrilled they got the #1 pick. But I hope we're not back here again next season.

Let’s just call this a natural tank. Booker probably should have sat more than he has this year based on how his hamstring seemed to be bothering him.

The new lottery system won’t prevent teams from tanking at the end of the season, especially if they’re on the bottom-3 bubble. But at least for me, it does seem to ward off the panick-tank psychology this early. Especially if you have your sights on a single player at #1, who now has the same odds for the bottom three (and it decreases by only 1.5% from there).

The draft will have its climbers, too.

I like Grimes but I think IF we go for guard, we need someone with a little more quicks than Grimes. I'm not against solving our PG problem by getting another Booker like player but one of them has to be able to guard the quicker players and Devin certainly can't.
