LSU baseball will aim to sweep Missouri on Sunday after a close win on Saturday night.
LSU's win on Saturday was the Tigers 14th straight, surpassing the 13 game win streak posted by the 2023 team that went on to win a national championship.
Reliever Casan Evans notched his fourth save of the season and third baseman Michael Braswell drove in three runs. Veteran hitters Jared Jones and Josh Pearson each drove in two runs. Jones came up big in the fourth with a two-run hit that put LSU in the lead.
Right-hander Chase Shores will get the start for LSU on Sunday. The 6'8' pitcher is 4-0 with a 3.15 ERA on the year.
LSU schedule will get tougher next week. The Tigers would love to start 3-0 in SEC play before facing the grind of the SEC.
