After an 8-2 win on Friday night, LSU baseball will look to claim the series vs. Texas on Saturday.
LSU ace Kade Anderson had some of his best stuff. He struck out eight and didn't issue a walk in six innings of work. Anderson allowed just two runs. After Anderson, reliever Zac Cowan entered the game and recorded a three-inning save.
Jared Jones and Derek Curiel got it done at the top of the lineup with two hits each, while Luis Hernandez supplied the power with a home run and three hits. Hernandez drove in three runs on the night.
If LSU gets the win on Saturday, the Tigers are in a good position to be the No. 1 team in the country when the new rankings drop on Monday.
