Michigan basketball closed out the Big Ten season with a resounding victory over Wisconsin, winning the Big Ten Tournament Championship and getting to hang a banner. But the NCAA Tournament selection committee didn't heed any of the weekend successes and thus gave no reward to the Wolverines. The maize and blue got a short layoff and headed to Denver to take part in their first March Madness appearance in three years.

And as a 5-seed, the Wolverines got a bit of a tough draw in UC San Diego, a team that has the longest winning streak as of current in all of college basketball.

Michigan vs. UC San Diego: The Wolverines tend to be turnover-happy, while UCSD is one of the best teams in the country, if not the best, at forcing turnovers. But if Michigan takes care of the basketball, it should handle the game with ease. Still, that's a big if.
