The Ohio State women's ice hockey team will have a chance to defend its 2023-2024 national championship. The Buckeyes got back to the championship game with a win over No. 3 seed Cornell on Friday evening in Minneapolis by a score of 4-2.
The Buckeyes will take on Wisconsin, the overall No. 1 seed in this year's championship. The Badgers took down the Minnesota Golden Gophers by a score of 6-2. This will be the rubber match that will pair Ohio State and Wisconsin in the championship game for the fifth time in a row. The Buckeyes took home titles in 2022 and 2024 with the Badgers hoisting the trophy in 2021 and 2023.
Wisconsin got the better of OSU in the regular season this year with a 2-1-1 record in favor of the Badgers in the four times the two teams met.

Prediction - Ohio State 4, Wisconsin 3: With the exception of one game where the Badgers blew the Buckeyes out of the arena 6-0, the other three games were well played and relatively close. All that goes out the window when it's a one-game, winner-take-all. Both teams have been playing well, but Ohio State gets a late goal to take the lead and bring the Natty back to Columbus.
