Texas A&M and Michigan both dodged first-round upset bids and now have a 4-5 march with a spot in the Sweet 16 up for grabs.
The Aggies got past Yale, which was always a tough out, with 80-71 in its tournament opener, while Michigan was taken to the wire before hanging on to beat UC San Diego 68-65.
This is supposed to be the most competitive game Saturday, one of the 16 second-round games, as Texas A&M is a 2 1/2-point favorite.
The No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies take on the Michigan Wolverines at 3:15 p.m. Mountain (local)/4:15 p.m. Central at Ball Arena in Denver.
Texas A&M plays Michigan Saturday, March 22, at 3:15 p.m. MT/4:15 p.m. CT on CBS.
The Texas A&M Aggies are 2 1/2-point favorites, according to odds on BetMGM.com. With an over-under of 141 1/2, A&M is expected to win 72-70.

The El Paso Times: Texas A&M 68, Michigan 64
Bret Bloomquist writes: "This game should go down to the wire, but look for the Aggies' defense to take over late."
He writes: "This has the makings to be a matchup where Michigan will need to shoot it at a high clip from deep to offset all the extra shot attempts Texas A&M will get. Considering the Wolverines haven’t shot better than 40% from 3-point range in a game since late January, that’s a tough ask."
The Detroit Free Press: Texas A&M 83, Michigan 79
The site says: "The Wolverines' turnaround season ends in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The pick: Texas A&M 83, U-M 78."
