The 2025 season of the National Women's Soccer League is about to begin, and it'll be a busy few days as all 14 of the league's teams will compete during opening weekend. There will be several exciting matches to watch as these teams get back into the swing of things, including defending league champions, the Orlando Pride, facing off against the Chicago Stars on Friday night, as well as the league's newest team, Bay FC, who are only in their second year as a franchise, pitted against the Utah Royals Saturday night.
As for how to can tune in to every game this season, well, there's a method to the madness. Prime Video will carry games every Friday night, the ION Network will feature Saturday night double-headers, and additional games will air weekly on CBS, ABC, and ESPN. It's a lot to take in, but don't worry, we've broken it all down so you can tune in to every game on every platform. Who is competing in the NWSL?
There are 14 teams in the NWSL league: Angel City FC, Bay FC, BOS Nation FC, Chicago Stars FC, Houston Dash, Kansas City Current, Gotham FC, North Carolina Courage, Orlando Pride, Portland Thorns FC, Racing Louisville FC, San Diego Wave FC, Seattle Reign, Utah Royals FC, and Washington Spirit.
How to watch the 2025 NWSL Season:
There are quite a few ways to tune in to NWSL matches this season, and for comprehensive coverage all season, you might need a couple of subscriptions. Every Friday night throughout the season, Prime Video will broadcast one matchup (that schedule can be found here), and on Saturdays, you can tune in to a weekly double-header on ION Network (the full ION schedule can be found here) which you can find streaming free on platforms like Tubi and Pluto, and also is included in most live TV streaming services.
In addition to those weekly games, CBS will air 14 matches, including 11 regular-season games and three playoff games, including the NWSL Championship on Nov. 22 (here's the complete CBS/Paramount+ schedule).
Twenty of this year's games will also air between ABC, ESPN and ESPN2, and all of those games can also be streamed on ESPN+ (ABC/ESPN schedule here).
If you love soccer but want to save some money, you can also catch select games for free on NWSL+, you just need to sign up to gain access to this free streaming platform that carries games, replays, news coverage and club information.
