Green says "No more Projects", so they're looking at very polished players, which explains why Fitz, Winslow and Taylor tops of the board. We'll take a football player, not a project, with the two first picks

3. Fitzgerald
The Cleveland trade isn't going to happen - not with the Cardinals anyway. The Raiders wants to trade, the Cardinals really don't, so Cleveland trades with the Raiders. We get Fitz and the best receiving corp in the league.

33. Derrick Strait
You want polished players? Strait is the biggest playmaker at CB, but will never be a #1 CB in the NFL. Who cares? I'll take a premiere #2 CB a la Ronde Barber or Bobby Taylor anyday. Anybody that have seen Strait play would agree with me.

64. Sopaoga
A big DT is the choice here unless a very good LB or G falls to #64 (Lehman, Snee etc.)

I'll go back to my first inclination way back in January.
1-Taylor
2-Michael Jenkins
3-best defensive player-hopefully Strait.

I want an offense that can score at will!

1. Fitz
2. OT- Rodgers
3. RB- Tatum Bell
4. CB- Nathan Vasher. I know this trickles into day 2, byt we need a dynamic return specialist, plus he adds depth to the secondary

1-Fitz, only because the Chargers take Gallery #1 and the Raiders can't pass up on Manning-otherwise, the Raiders take Fitz

2-Kevin Jones

3-Isaac Sopoaga

What is that you say???

I predict beer drinking in the early part of the draft......Moving up to mixed drinks......And then onto many shots of Petrone.

Yep, I think that is how the first day will go. At least, that has how it has gone for me the past few drafts. I hope Denny Green makes some better choices! But then again, if he does, how will those poor waitresses and bartenders afford to pay their rent without me buying?

What a conundrum.......

This above is what I want to happen. Below is what I think.

1. Kellen Winslow( cause Fitz will be gone AND because Winslow wil have more of an impact on this team than Taylor would).
2. OG- Chris Snee( will become an instant starter)
3. DT- Isaac Sopoaga( Dg said a 'D" needs a 2 gap guy...well here he is).

These are 3 players that will have an imediate impact, none of which are "projects".

1. Larry Fitzgerald, WR
2. Igor Olshansky, DT
3. Nathan Vasher, CB
4. Jorge Cordova, ILB
5. Shnannon Snell, OG
6. Ran Carthon, RB
7. Brooks Daniels, LB/S

1. Fitz-self explainatory
2. Olshansky is almost a lock to be there, and I think DG definately has someone in mind who he really thinks he can get there based on recent comments. The kid is raw, but could be special (plus his name is Igor Olshansky--that's pretty cool).
3. Vasher--a reach? Maybe, but I don't think he lasts the entire 3rd round. Without his neck injury being a concern, this guy might have gone in the first or early second.
4. Cordova--Dg isn't pleased with the LB corps (or at least it's depth), I'll bet this guy pushes for McKinnon's job.
5. Snell--LOTS o' potential if he can focus on his game. Could push for a starting spot if he gets his head on straight (big "if", but denny likes those, doesn't he?)
6. Ran Carthon--fast back. Emmitt is almost done, Anderson's health is a question mark, it makes sense to draft a back with back up potential in the late rounds. He's also the son of Maurice Carthon, for what it's worth.
7. Brooks Daniels--versitile. He might be able to play either OLB or S. he's a gamble, but who's not in the 7th?

2.Oshansky. Green has stated "no more projects". That DQ's him
3.Vasher. Do we reach for a guy with that type of injury?

My only prediction is that i'll have an empty, disappointed feeling at the end of it all.

What's that funny feeling in the pit of my stomach.

IT's the ARIZONA CARDINALS with THE THIRD SELECTION..................TAKE ..

Great replys by everybody & good luck with the Beverage of choice consumption(s).

I really think that Fitzgerald is there at three because Manning and Gallery go 1 & 2. DG will take him. Picks Two and three are really where the drama begins. They can go in any # of direction as this thread indicates. :D
