I'm not getting over it. I also don't see the interception return as a great play. We couldn't have messed up more on that play if we tried.

The return reminded me of an episode of Fat Albert.

What Pain?

That was a great game. A classic. The greatest Cardinal season in my 45 years as a fan.

Losing the Super Bowl will never tarnish the immense thrill of watching the Cards winning the NFC Championship in person, in the wake of huge disrespect, in our house.

Agreed.

The only thing that frustrates me is how well the Cards played in the NFC PO's. Darn near perfect football, but then to play so bad for 3 quarters of the Super Bowl.

If they hadn't had those silly drive killing penalties this might have been a blow out in the Cards favor.

I'm over it. If I told you 6 months ago that the Cardinals would lose in the Superbowl by 4 points you would have all been stoked that they even made it that far. Keeping things in perspective does wonders. No one can ever again say that we have no shot at the SB. I think next year we break the SB loser curse of missing the playoffs the following year. With Warner likely coming back we are the exact type of team that can always make a run in the playoffs. Even if Boldin and Dansby leave, having Warner and Fitz on the same team means any game is winnable.

Ditto.

Was kind of numb on Monday morning but got over it real quick. Enjoyed the run to the Super Bowl very much.

Good on ya Cards!

I'm slowly coming out of it, and reminding myself how amazing of a season it was.

I just wish I could have watched the game and really appreciated the fact that it was our Birds in the Super Bowl!

I was too wound up about the outcome to really take it all in.

Exactly, trying to take a larger perspective on things because as gut wrenching as that game was, it was merely the cap to an amazing season.. the best I've had.

I'm with you, DuckJake.

People have been talking for years about this team turning a corner. This year it's finally happened.

The hope for great future seasons makes me smile. :)

Not really all pain tho, I'm proud of this team for getting this far and never giving in when they were behind. Some Steelers fans are saying that is one of the best defenses they've had in a very long time. That just makes me appreciate what this Cardinals team accomplished all the more! :raccoon:

I'm slowly getting over it. I see it both ways at different times. Yeah it was our greatest season in my lifetime, but oh so close to closing the deal. My main way of getting over the pain is not watching NFL Network; you can't go 5 minutes without seeing the Harrison int return or Holmes catch.

That play was worse than the Steve Bono bootleg play for 70 yards.........and I never thought I would see a play that could top that

I agree. But I've also always felt the Cards were on a different psychic plane when it came to this stuff. Getting over our own history outweighs the SB loser curse by a lot in my mind. I think this team will be motivated.

Although I currently am very much stuck in the "struggling to get over the pain" phase, I do hope to move on soon......I do like this "psychic plane" business....this team is mentally tough...they compete, compete, compete....no quit/all heart means another playoff run.....it's that simple....

yeah watching anything glorifying the all time record SB victory just makes me gag, when the media was basically swinging off Pittsburgh's nards for the most part the whole time leading up to the game. There were some players picking the Cardinals, but all the pundits were going the other way. I wanted them to eat their crap , so bad. The Cardinals deserved it, but it wasn't meant. We'll get them again and it'll be BIG TIME then. NUMBERO 1 BABY!

Yeah I just come here to vent, and it gets better and I stay optomistic for the years coming as we all should and will.

I don't watch any more replays and I don't read any "mistakes by the refs" articles.

Im still really struggling to be honest. Got that squirmy feeling in my stomach everytime i think of the last couple of mins. Bit like how i felt after my first girlfriend ditched my when i was 16.

Think i may be deeply in love with the Cardinals, way more than i realised.....

What pain are you feeling. The cardinals went to the super bowl. they exceeded everyone expectations. No one expected them to be there. At the beginning of the season my expections was 8-8 & missing the playoff. So I am pretting damn happy. Not disappointed at all.

agreed Osbern. No SportsCenter or NFL Network = Healing. The pro bowl ironically will actually bring a lot of the pain back no doubt. Wow great.
