How'd San Fran trade with Indy and get the 29th pick in the draft?

Take a look at this mock draft by ESPN...it shows San Fran back in the mix at 29.... How?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story;jsess...0d5d807016db&template=with-video&confirm=true

It's a good mock draft...has the Cards taking ....I'm not telling...take a look...

even NFL.com has them at pick 29 from the Colts.

I figured it out....

Last years draft the Colts moved up to get Ugoh and gave the 9ers their 1st.

at least they're drafting at the end of round one....

I think the Colts traded up to get Tony Ugoh with the 49ers pick in the 2nd round of the 2007 NFL draft.

I really don't see Groves going before Gholston...But I like the Mendenhall pick.

I also have a problem with this draft. How can the stud DT from USC (Sedrick Ellis) not be in the first round all of a sudden. Other mocks have him going as high as the top 5.

Well okay...Top 15 in yours :p

nope. Openly predicted that he would fall out of the first round completely. One of my finer draft achievements of last year. :)

Good guess...Or are you sure you don't do Voodoo?

Since you predicted something right about last years draft I will predict that we will draft Matt Forte...I don't know what round it will be but I think the cardinals will pick him if we don't get Stewart or Mendenhall in the 1st Round. Or maybe we'll get two from my mock draft in my Sig...that would be great.

If that draft comes true, I'll shoot myself. Jonathan Stewart to the Seahawks? That would suck.. we would never stop that guy.

He's still my #1, has all the talent of the others with no character issues. It would really suck to see him fall to Seattle.

I still don't know why people are soo high on Stewart. IMO I think he is just a workout warrior if we get him I hope he proves me wrong. But I still have Medenhall as the top RB and for those who use the excuse that he was only a starter for one year ..Well I'll give you an answer that it...it was because he was behind UI's schools leading rusher. Also Mendenhall is the more complete back IMO

Ifhe was "just a workout warrior" he would have shot up the draft boards during the combine. Point of fact is that he was considered a 1st round pick all of last season because he was tearing it up on the field, not in a weight room or on a track.

I must be stubborn then I never even considred Stewart a 1st Round pick from the beginning of the college season. He may be a Mid 1st Round pick now but I just question the level of compeition that he played against since there was onyl a few actually decent teams that he played against such as ASU and USC. I guess Stewart stuffed through a lot of injuries during his career also. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/rb/jonathanstewart.html I still think Mendenhall is a better back.

Last year he rushed for more than 1700 yards with a YPC average of 6.2.

The year before he rushed for 981 with a YPC average of 5.4.

This is why he's considered a 1st round back. Not because he's a workout warrior.

just like mine of Cason this year ;).

We will just have to see about that one. The more time goes by, the better it is looking for you though.

I don't know if there were many mock drafts that didn't have Branch in the 1st round. I'm seeing quite a few that think that Cason is a 2nd round talent like you suggest.

If thats the case then Matt Forte should of been considered a first round pick to since last year he ran for 2,127yrds and had a 5.9 YPC

And the year before he ran for 859 while having a 5.3 YPC

BUT the reason for the considerable increase of yards and carries is because Tulane switched from a spread offense(where he ran for 859yrds) to a pro style offense (where he ran for 2,127yrds)
