How's it feel Mike McCarthy & Eric Bienemy?

My post may be premature, but 6 of the 8 head coaching opportunities have already been filled and guess whose names aren't included in those 6?

So far, here are the hires:

Jets - Gase
Browns - Kitchens
Broncos - Fangio
Tampa - Arians
Cards - Kingsbury
Packers - LaFleur

That leaves only the Bengals and Dolphins left. Not that I wanted McCarthy or Bienemy but it's kind of ironic that after declining to even be interviewed with the Cardinals they may be left without a job.

I think it was known behind the scenes that the Cardinals were hiring Kingsbury.

The Reddit guy who broke the info, broke it 5 days ago. Apparently the Cardinals were looking like a month ago.

I heard that McCarthy was only interested in NYJ job but maybe he decided to take a year off like his family wanted him to. Chances are there could be plenty of job opportunities again next year as for Bienemy maybe he didn't interview well. Also, there was speculation aside from it being hard to schedule interviews while KC prepared for this weekend that Bienemy may have known ARZ was focused on someone other than him so he didn't want to waste his time. He did us a favor removing himself from consideration IMO.

I don’t think McCarthy wanted just any job and he’s getting paid either way, so I don’t fault him for not jumping at anything.

I’m not sure about Bienemy, but I think him turning down an interview with Arizona was foolish. You want your name out in the circles as much as possible.

I don't blame McCarthy either. I think a year off is the best way to go...reconnect with your family and see things from a different perspective (the NFL is changing).

He will be successful with his next team.
