Good for Bulls. Addition by subtraction. Wallace never seemed to want to be in Chicago.

I laugh at the fact that the Cavs gutted their team to try and win it this year. News flash, as long as the Celtics and Pistons are in the East, Cavs got no shot. Plus Wallace's defense is overrated.

I love getting rid of Wallace(Yes, I was a big fan of the signing), but I hate taking on a equal contract in Hughes and getting rid of Duhon. The Sonics jsut got one of the smartest players in the NBA and will add a lot to the young team.

I agree with that to a extent. He can play defense when he wants. I think Lebron will motivate him and he will play the 4 along side Z. That is kind of scary.

The cavs have become a better balanced team as both west and wally can shoot outside, a cavs weakness that was exploited by the spurs to the max last year. Now, a team like the spurs will not be able to pack the lane area without paying for it. I am not a fan of Ben Wallace, I felt he was always overrated as a defender, Rasheed was the better defender and the pistons system has some great help defenders that hid Big Bens mediocre one-one-one defense. The cavs still have to go through the celtics and pistons, but they are a better team for this trade.

After trade rosters--
Cavs
PG: West/Gibson
SG: Wally/D. Brown
SF: Lebron/S. Brown
PF: J. Smith/B. Wallace
C: Ilkaskaus/Varejao
Reserves: Damon Jones, Dwayne Jones, Pavlovic, Snow

Bulls:
PG: Hinrich/Hughes
SG: Gordon/Sefalosha
SF: Deng/Thomas
PF: Gooden/Nocioni
C: Noah/Simmons
Reserves: Curry, Griffin, Nichols

Sonics:
PG: Duhon/Watson
SG: Durant/Wilkins
SF: Green/Newble
PF: Wilcox/Collison
C: Petro/Elson
Reserves: Marshall, Barry, Gelabale, Ridnour, Sene, Swift

Now looking at all this, one thing screams at me......Sonics have to drop someone. They have 16 players under contract. Will they buy out Barry? Will they drop Gelabale?

wallace is too slow to guard many 4's, but joe smith can do better if needed. The way I see it, the bulls unload a nasty contract, one of the worst in the league.

That is a good point on os slowness, but they got just as nasty of a contract back in Hughes.

I just hope the Bulls improve and move up in the standings to increase the Suns chances of getting a lotto pick from Atlanta. However, I'm not sure if this trade helps the Bulls this much, but I'm always hoping. :)

No more Adrian Griffin whose claim to fame is leading the vote against Noah this year.

Duhon wasn't a part of the trade. Originally it came out as Duhon, Marshall and Newble, but the actual players they got were Marshall, Newble and GRIFFIN. That's all they got.
