...for the fire whis wagon. I don't care if they win today. Uninspiring play and atrocious offensive and defensive playcalling. Selling out the run on the 5? I run playaction there too. HC is responsible for overrides on that and spread empty backfield on 1st down. No effing trust anymore.

It is miserable here BTW...Heinz field west.

We better come back and win.

I always giggle when fans complain of play calling, never suprising though. Just too many mistakes by the players. Steelers blitz so Kolb throws a quick slant to Housler which goes right off his head for an INT. When they blitz the WR/TE needs to turn around. Kolb has missed throws to open recievers including a TD to Housler. Beanie is playing well and he's hurt again.

Most of all is the pass rush. The Steelers don't have a good OL and we're not doing anything against Ben.

Felt like 2001/2002/2003/2004 at SDS today. Holy crap that had to be the most uncomfortable I have ever felt at UoP. It was a home game for the Steelers and the Cards did nothing about it...
Saw some awesome battles in the stands and outside a bathroom however. Let it be known that the Cards fans put up a better fight than did the team today! There were a few Steeler fans that went home a bit banged up today... ;)

It was very miserable today, and honestly about what was expected. I'm definitely not one to start trouble at games, but I really thought this would be a game where the fan frustration would boil over at the fairweather Steelers fans expense (aside - I've never seen a bigger group of fairweather fans before, they were yelling louder than we were when their team was on offense). However, I didn't see anything even resembling an issue in the stands in my section or any of those around mine. Just seems like all of the Cards fans were already defeated and fully expecting the beat down that came today. There's just not any noticeable imporvement from week to week that gets you hopeful this team has bottomed out and is at least starting to move in the right direction.

Hard to believe that less than a season and a half ago we were the NFC West Division Champs and running over our opponents isn't it.

Best line of the day on ASFN was "well Whiz wanted to create Steelers West, and he did it".

I just posted this in another thread, but bears repeating -- assuming we get destroyed next week travelling east to play a far superior team, we will need to go almost .500 (4-5) just to not be worse than last year's disaster after a 1-6 start. I don't think think those expectations are realistic at this point!

There has not been any improvement since Whisenhunt has been here. Warner and the recievers did all the work to get to the playoffs. The defense and the OL is the same group in shambles!

My wife and I just laughed during the postgame press conference as we walked around the stadium after the game. Whiz let loose with a rather monotone "I am not happy about the way things went. I am really upset about it." Sorry, Ken - you don't sound really upset. You sound the same after every game. Just roll a press conference recorded after any loss and I couldn't tell you which game it was even. So awful.

I giggle at fans who think the system will work after 6 weeks of the system NOT working and no adjustments to the system being made so that it can work. Fine, the players can't execute. That flies for a couple of games. At this point, you MUST put the players in scenarios they CAN execute, then.

The players didn't call a spread offense with empty backfield on the 4th play of the game against a team that is bad against the run. The players didn't dial up a play that sold out vs the run on the 10 yard line in a place where I would call playaction deep on effing Madden 2012. The players didn't call a shotgun pass on their own five yard line with a crappy oline and a skittish QB, leading to a safety. The players didn't call a freaking FAKE ONSIDE KICK with the game almost out of reach for sure.

I giggle at that. What I don't giggle at is 50 Steeler fans in my section yelling for me to sit down when the Cards are on defense, and the 10 Cards fans not caring enough at that point to shout them down. I don't giggle at Steeler fans chanting and waving their terrible diapers in joy in UOP. The Nest got raped today. The coaching staff got Pittsburgh West...I hope they effing choke on it.

Uninspired play...horrible playcalling, bad game management, horrid player development, asstastic player acquisition...systematic dismantling of a super bowl squad that now can't "run the system" and yet some are STILL defending this effing coaching cockfestival.

On a straight playcalling experiment, I would destroy Whis because he is utterly predictable as hell on offense, and then HIS defense (same thing Horton runs is the same thing everyone else ran, no difference at all) completely plays directly into the other team's offense's hands.

Abomb and I had a text message exchange about how this felt like SDS in 2003, and we wondered if Dubya would get a second term and if we'd get Osama Bin Laden someday.

It was embarrassing. It was just flat out effing embarrassing.

I am so mad at myself... I sold out for this team, entirely... Yea - I even upped my ante and added 2 more seats to my season package. WTF was I thinking??? Shouldn't I have known this was coming - it's not like there isn't almost 10 decades of historic losing or anything... Why did I let myself remain caught up in this team. They just aren't worth it.

And today was worse than any proverbial slap in the face I have ever received. I never thought I would re-visit SDS at UoP. Wow was I wrong. I just couldn't believe how many Steeler fans were there today. I really have no doubt that they out-numbered Cards fans. And they were loud. Obnoxious. Spiteful. DRUNK! And they acted like UoP was theirs.

I am so EFFING pissed off at myself... This team. This franchise... they SUCK! SUCK! SUCK!!!!! And they've SUCKED a butt-load of cash out of me over the past 11 years... DAMMMMMMN I am PISSED!

I think it is funny how other games people would say "oh, there were like 40% other team fans there...oh, it was bad." No. No no no no no. It was BAD today.

I am all in for the franchise, somehow. I have all my kids at the games, and I sit there until the very end, watching douches with their towels falling into our row to take pictures of their ***** players cocking out on the field. I tell them ... "kids, suck this in...own it. It feels bad, really really bad doesn't it? One day, when we win, it will feel really good. Losing shows your character...it builds your resolve."

Do you know how much I effing HATE giving that poopy life lesson to a 4, 8 and 11 year old? Do you know how much I effing HATE that the lesson is necessary to be a fan of this team? Do you know how much I effing HATE that this coaching staff and front office has dismantled the talent that finally broke through the suck to GIVE us those effing wins and playoff victories we suffer year after year hoping to taste?

MOTHEREF!!

Best part? I knew at halftime we were done.

I'm really glad we got rid of Boldin. Good move!

Hell, Boldin would have had 275 yard receiving and 3 TD's if it weren't for PI penalties. But Roberts and Doucet can easily replace him.

Why all the running plays toward the end of the game? After they got the first down, it was time to pass. Then all of the interference calls, putting the ball on our one yard line! I'm not a happy camper. Your just don't lose, when you go ahead by 3 TDs! Something's got to change!

+1

The Cardinals should have been playing to win even if they had to put the ball in the air. I think most everyone knew that the Ravens would at least score a field goal when they got the ball back. I would have rather seen the Cardinals going for broke rather than losing with complacency.

Me too. Didn't even get excited when I heard we were up 24-3 because I knew they would blow it.

The Cardinals have become experts at it.
