Good job NJ

The wife was in her bedroom for most of my viewing of the game Sun. She came out after the game was over and asked me how it went. I told her it went normal. She noticed my calm state and asked what was wrong, you don't seem upset? "I just don't give a ****" I think that says it all.

Cards did me a favor on Sunday. All week I had heard the "experts" say how bad Minnesota was and that the Cards should win this game.
If I had watched an entire game devolve, I would have been mad for the rest of the day/week.

But this Sunday, I was unable to tune in until about an hour into the game. Flipped on the TV, saw we were down 28-3, and knew I could go about my day without wasting another second on this team. What a bunch of punks.

The Vikings was beating the fourth best team in football (Lions) 20-0 at

halftime a few weeks ago so I figured they would smoke us.

Became a Cardinals fan in 1972 because of combination of recalling a Cards blowout of the Eagles in the late 60s(?) and an IHOP NFL promotion( I happened to get a Cards placemat) and suffered through a couple 4-9-1 seasons, before the breakout year of 1974. I figured I had suffered enough through '72, and '73 and the glory years of the mid 70's were my due. Oh man... if only I knew about the late 70s, the 80s, the 90s, the early to mid 2000 years.

I find it interesting that some of you chose this team to follow without having St. Louis ties. I started in 1975 at 9 years old, still remember the scores of those games even at that age. What's amazing is that going into Thanksgiving of 1977, the Cardinals had won 38 of their last 52 regular season games (.73 win %). They then went on to lose 12 straight, and only 2 seasons in the next 30 years where they outscored their opponents (1984 with Hanifan and 1993 with Bugel). I remember waiting for that game to start, watching the clock all day long, little did I know what was in store that game and following LOL

The Cards are so goofy that they couldn't even outscore their opponents when the 1994 team was 4th in points allowed.

That was also the last time the Cards held their opponents to less than 300 points for the season. By comparison the Ravens have allowed opponents more than 300 points only twice 2000-2010. The Steelers only 4 times. The Eagles 5 times.

Meanwhile the Cards have allowed over 400 points 5 times 2000-2010.

DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the 1977 meltdown still hurts. Bad enough losing to the Dolphins, Giants, and Redskins but to lose to the Bucs was just too much to take.
