honestly, I think the suns are like a fast food burger. They are OK, but there's a lot better options out there.

It seems like they've been in a "try to make it work" for several years with vets, so so free agents and the like. Lately, it seems like they have some kind of plan in place to grow a team, but what they have assembled still needs lots of time and work. I assume they will just run out of patience and fill in some over the hill players to the team once they start to put some things together.

To be honest it seems like we need 1-2 game changing free agents/trades AND another 1-2 in the draft that can start to make this team go anywhere. I don't see that happening at the same time, and I wonder if only part of that happens if it will even matter in a fairly stacked western conference.

I often wonder how many teams seem to have a brighter future/direction than the Suns. I don't even want to start counting.

Try counting the teams that have a bleaker future, you'll only need one hand.

Booker, Warren, Chriss, Bender, Len, Ulis, Jones jr and Williams are all 23 or under. Plus we have a top 5-ish pick this season along with all of our own future picks in addition to 2 valuable Miami picks. I like our future a lot more than I do our recent past (7 seasons or so) and while there are never any guarantees, I think we have a better looking future than most teams do.

I agree with you. Few years ago, the Suns had no talent and no assets. They have both right now. It is a very young team, but the future is not bleak.

If you're counting Jones Jr and A1 you might include the water boy. None of them will have long NBA careers while playing meaningful minutes I think.

This is way I see it as well and said much more concisely than the way I was going to say it push come to shove.

I think AzStevenCal was pointing out the youth on the Suns... some very talented.

The Suns have other assets in Bledsoe and Chandler. Also I wouldn't be surprised if McDonough does not pull a rabbit out of hat and get an asset for Knight or even Tucker.

I haven't seen either of them play much but you sound pretty sure about them so I'll just cross them off my list.

Ya, I like the direction they're headed but I don't know if there's a star among that group you listed. Defenitely some legit starters but not sure if there are any stars.

I don't either. I still think Booker is going to become a great player but I'm not as confident now as I was before the season started. Anyway, I'm not promising stardom for any of them but it's a good mix of very young players. Getting the superstar(s) is harder but since Amare left and Nash grew old we've had to settle for bench players getting starter minutes so I see that collection of youth as a huge step forward.

I agree. There are some good starters in our youth corps - Booker, hopefully Len, Chriss, Bender and Warren. Maybe one or two stars if we're lucky. I also really like Ulis.

I like where we're at but I think we're still missing one or two major pieces to compete. Maybe a different coach. Perhaps Big Sauce turns into a good sub but he's not getting minutes so far. If he and Derrick Jones Jr are Suns starters in three years I'll happily admit I was wrong. :)

Go Suns!

I think more fans would gain interest if they cleared up the ridiculous logjam they have and got rid of useless players like Knight and Tucker so Ulis and Bender get more minutes.
