4:30 our time on a weekday? I am not home from work until close to seven and have kids to play with, bathe, and read to befor bed. Same foes for Friday. I will miss the majority of the draft in this format.

Not happy...

I am on the EC and I still hate it. First round on a Thursday???? I used to love the fact that I had one solid weekend out of the year where nothing was expected of me. I could bounce back and forth from the couch to the computer all day with no interferences and stuff my face with delicious garbage without the slightest modicum of harassment from the better half. Thanks for effing it up Roger.

Totally agree with this. Too busy during the week. This schedule is awful in my opinion.

I work nights so the new draft schedule screws me too. I like the way it used to be too.

I bet they still get better ratings than the NBA playoffs though...the power of the NFL. I think its just the NFL flexing it's muscles, sort of like a prime time show releasing the schedule tonight.

As LIAC mentioned, it screws us out here. I don't want to watch the draft on a DVR. I want to see it live. Now I'll miss at least the first hour and that is only because I'm going home from work early. The old schedule was East Coastcentric but it was still OK. We're man (and woman) enough to have a beer at 8AM. Goodell screwed this up.

I'm going to the Coyote game on Friday so I will miss most of the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

:(

Good thing I'll have my Droid with me to follow the picks during the game.

It was the same in my house. Grandkids and daughter banned from the house. My wife would actually wait on me hand and foot. The only "work" I had to do was come up with the menu which was done days in advance so she didn't have to "bother" me during the draft. Great times.

This year most of that stays in place but it's 2 nights and 1 day. Plus I get Sunday to spend to much time on asfn discussing the draft. I will DVR ESPN and watch NFLN live.

I hate the new schedule, too. Having it on during the week throws off everything. They could have at least done Fri./Sat./Sun.

The weekend grind was much better.

I like the fact that there will be something to talk about at work on Friday.

This schedule is horrible. Nothing is better than having a Draft party, where your able to cook out, drink beer, and have a long fun night with friends. I don't give a crap about drama tv, or must see tv. It's a bunch of crap. Bring back Saturdays!!!!

IIRC, I've hosted a draft party the past three years and spent at least the past six drafts with Donald and other friends.

I am off work this week due to my son being born, but the new schedule definitely stinks. 4:30 PM Pacific on Thursday?!? I hope this goes down as a failure (like the Pro-Bowl this year), but I doubt it. It will be a ratings smash.

Friday party!!!
Saturday party!!!

No doubt it will be a smash. One of the highest rated cable events of all time I'm going to say.

agreed - it's been a long ritual for me to kind of burn away draft weekend with a mix of household putzing and following a mind numbing high amount of draft coverage - fueled exclusively by fried fatty stuff and beer

now I have to curry favor over 4 days and I know my arteries can't handle the extra exposure

that and it's the playoffs for 2 other sports and there are conflicts

my DVRs are overloaded as it is getting regularly scheduled stuff and if it comes down to watching guys walk to a podium or guys getting smacked into the boards i'm choosing the later
