Change? I don't like it. Fan favorites - gone. Defense broken up. :|

But seriously, what regime comes in to a new team and ever says "Let's not make any player moves on the defense and just tinker with the offense." ?? None. Zero. Zip. Nada.

Arians and company are looking to make this THEIR team. Personally, I hope it works.

That is all.

We need to remember that the Cards record last year was 5 & 11. We stunk.

We can do worse.

the loss of Horton and the addition of Bowles will aid in that. Not to mention the fact the only offensive change theyve made is to swap one underachiever RB for another. And we got a career backup QB whos seemingly our starter now.

A lot of crazy moves. Not sure I agree. But last year was freaking unwatchable. So who cares if we blow it up. We weren't 5-11 we were 1-11 Wtf

Great defense?

So one game in which the offense also turned the ball over constantly says our defense stunk last year. You weren't happy with Horton and our D?

If you believe our D is going to get better with these moves and losing Horton you better get ready to be shocked.

Absolutely loved Horton and our D and wanted him here as the DC or even coach, but I am not in charge. I did question his D after that performance though. 58-0 is embarrassing.

They rebounded and played well the next week. He didn't lose them.

I'm with BIM and 11 here. It's not that we were coming off a SB victory. We have had 3 consecutive seasons of extended losing streaks, piss poor offense, and decent defense. Of course you rebuild but it's very common to have a quick turn around in today's NFL

CKW didn't make wholesale changes in personnel to make the Cards his team. Most of the starters in the SB were veterans from 2006 and earlier. It wasn't until he brought in his guys that the bottom fell out.

And of course Warner retired. So really nothing else matters if we don't get a real QB does it?

This IS different. The Front Office, Ownership, and the Coaching Staff are of one mind set. Get better, whether it be from teaching, drafting, signing free-agents, releasing too-costly, or non performing players, or whatever combination of the above that works. Never have I seen this group come together like now, and never have such huge changes been made so quickly. No more struggling snail trying without much success to get players in, tested, and signed. This group obviously knows what it wants, and is wasting no time getting it. They seem to be content, replacing high cost talent with players very nearly as solid, but without the salary problems created by the former front office.

I hope that they succeed in putting this franchise into a mode where, (in a year or so), we can truly begin to challenge San Francisco and Seattle for the Western Division Title. If they do, it will have been worth all the wait, and the turmoil we are undergoing now. Go Cards !!!!!

Adding toughness!

I can't say I am wildly excited about 2013 because of the disfunctional situation that remains at quarterback.

But I do love the moves that BA and Steve Keim are making to add toughness to the team. I felt that had significantly diminished with the departures of Deuce Lutui, Anquan Boldin, Steve Breaston, and Gerald Hayes in recent years. Guys like Lorenzo Alexander, Rashard Mendenhall and Josh Cribbs bring a physicality and passion that has been lacking in the last couple years IMO. If you compared the Cardinals with the Niners and Seahawks rosters of the last couple years, there was a difference in toughness IMO. The way the Cardinals were stomped in Seattle last season still leaves a foul taste in my mouth.

So while I'm not dancing in the streets, I am giving some measured praise to what has happened so far. I want Seattle and San Francisco to know they've been in a football game when they play the Arizona Cardinals. I believe Steve Keim and Bruce Arians are slowly taking us there.

GO CARDINALS!!

This is what I am hoping for also. That the coaches and FO have the ability to put it all together and make it work.

Can't disagree. Several of us talked about the Cardinals being soft last season. The thing I don't like is that the Cards could have signed all three of those guys without losing Adrian Wilson. 25 years in Arizona and only one player in the Ring of Honor for what he did on the football field. Really would have liked to see Adrian stay.
