Vegas, baby, yeah!
Now that the WHO has declared that red meat is a carcinogen, do you admit that you've declared war on bacon?

As much as I might like to, I think Model Rule of Professional Conduct 8.4 might prevent me from instigating a war. ;)

Didn't ask if you instigated it. Just asked if you communist heathen vegans had declared war on bacon. :)

This also violates my first amendment rights. #ChurchofBacon

Not against the Model Rules to help declare war. Half of the congressional lawyers and department of defense lawyers would be subject to disciplinary charges.

BRB...off to form the Sovereign State of Krepitch.

Ha, sorry no State action here, no violation. ;)

Thank God we live in a Country that allows us to slowly kill ourselves with whatever yummy treats the Big Ag Corporations get us addicted to for enhancement of their profits. And for many, the government will pick up the tab for the surgeries and hospitalizations! Big Ag wins, Health Insurance Companies win! Its all good!!

Anybody interested in this side of the debate may want to research the pork checkoff program. It's really quite astounding how much power the industry has.

Best Mexican food restaurant for vegans in the Valley of the Sun?

I haven't been to The Tamale Store in a long time, but everybody likes it. I just looked at their menu and they have a great vegan selection now. They also sell at a lot of farmers' markets, so you might not have to drive far. Look at some of these!

CILANTRO BLACK BEAN- Wonderfully moist and modestly spicy masa made with fresh cilantro, jalapeños, and a delicious black bean center. A real vegan favorite!

VEGAN- A great combination of fresh mushrooms, local organic spinach, corn, and our famous red chile salsa. Artistically crafted to perfection.

SOUTHWEST CHIPOTLE- Made with fresh corn, cilantro, and our smoky chipotle salsa mixed right into the masa. A deliciously spicy southwestern delight!

Pumpkin Pie Tamale (vegan) - available September-Mid November- Delicious pumpkin masa made with all natural pumpkin puree and warm fall spices including cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg. If you love pumpkin pie, you will adore our pumpkin tamales!

Tamales are one of the world's best foods and this is a great place to get some. :)

FYI, if you're just looking for a quick snack, Taco Bell is actually reaching out to its veg customers. It's now pretty easy to get vegan food there. :)

Thanks Krepitch! You are indeed King Vegan of the Valley! We will def have to check that out, I wasn't sure if it was a restaurant or a store.

So far, we have enjoyed the following that has had great vegan food on our trip:

---Amado's--great for dinner or breakfast, super accomadating nice people

---24 Carrotts--We had some Chocolate Mint cake that was absolutely ridiculously delicious;

---Oatmeal Cafe--had some amazing blueberry almond vanilla pancakes.

--Pizza Heaven Bistro---great spagetti and ravioli. Talked to the owner who is from El Salvador, she was super nice;

---Went to a place in Sedona today that had great pizza and pasta, forgot the name! Will have to edit later. They had a "regular food" menu, but with vegan options everywhere. One of those places that puts the little "v" or "vo" on the menu to tell you what you can order. Excellent atmosphere

So thanks for all the great advice and for referring me to your friend's website.

Taco Bell just published "How to Eat Vegan at Taco Bell" at https://www.tacobell.com/feed/how-to-eat-vegan

I think it's pretty cool how they are responding to their customers' feedback. Now it's super-easy to order at Taco Bell.

Also, I just had a Crunchwrap Supreme and three soft tacos. They were delicious!

Thanks for posting the link. We eat at Taco Bell so much that I swear it off for life on occasion. But perhaps the link has more options than I usually order.

I went to Green tonight for my first ever vegan experience. My dinner partner let me try her vegan burger with "cheese." I was pleasantly surprised by how decent it tasted. I forgot the name of the dish I ordered but it had curried potatoes, peas, garlic wrapped in a light pastry thing. Then we walked next door and had the vegan ice cream - again, pleasantly surprised at how it tasted.

I will definitely go back.

Cool! Green and Nami are great. Did your friend have the Big Wac? Love that.

You should go to Green's Thanksliving event if you get a chance. Soooo good!

Do you take B12 vitamins? If so, any brand you would recommend? What are your go-to foods that have some B12 in them?

I take them occasionally. By that I really mean that I buy them occasionally with the intent of taking them regularly, but don't follow through. LOL.

I buy Deva Vegan Vitamins Vegan Tiny Tab Multivitamin & Mineral for a multi-vitamin and it has 100% of the recommended B12 (
xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
).

I also buy Deva Vegan Vitamins Sublingual B12 1000 mcg Tablets for a special supplement. They have 16,667% of the RDA and they are easy to take and taste fine (
xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
).

The soy milk in my fridge has B12, but I take the supplements just to be on the safe side. Of course, you should check with a veg-friendly doctor who knows this better than I do, but this is what I do. Hope that helps. :)

I don't normally post stories like "Celebrity X Just Went Vegan," but this is a pretty big deal, imo.

He's right about the Oreos, too, y'all!
