Even as a vocal Fitz backer, if one has to go right now, its Fitz. If their contracts were equal, that's a different story.

The fact is, is that Fitz would be more valuable to most any other team. They would be able to get more value in return for Fitz than Boldin too.

I'd rather keep Fitz over Boldin if contracts were equal, but they are not. You have to look at trading Fitz first.

It will be an interesting situation if Fitz. Fitz is either going to get paid a king's ransom this year (and maybe next) or he's going to get restructured. You can bet that Boldin will want a similar deal.

I don't see us keeping both long-term. Just won't happen.

I say keep them both and make it work!

I agree. It's not like we've had great players just dropping out of trees for us over the years. It's hard to swallow giving up any legitimate top notch player that we have.

Problem is your talking about 60+ Mil. guar. for two recievers. It affects other areas.

Are you willing to put more than 1/6 of your CAP $$$$ into 2 players. That's what the org. has to decide.

They don't necessarily have to decide this year, but next yr. when he's slated to make 18+ will be crucial.

The other thing is, do you want Leinart used to him as a go to, and then cut that away. Larry has stated he wants to play here, but the inaction on contract negotiations suggests otherwise, IMO.
