Did you notice - is there still one on the roof?

On the side I was on could not see an, but that side looks almost done, so I do ont think they will be going much on that side anymore, I am sure there are still on the other side.

I love that building more than the Gold Spike. I love it. August 2006.

Great pix. Thanks. It looks like the stadium is in the middle of nowhere. Are there any hotels/restaurants/stores planned for the area? And if so, when will they be built? Thanks for any info.

I watch the Cardinals' games on TV when I am home on a Sunday, but I am not what most of you are....an avid fan. Sorry, I prefer the DBacks and Suns....hate hockey though. I live on the west side and go by the stadium all the time.

Now I am going to be honest with you so don't get overly mad.....

First....the Cardinal Stadium is right next to the Coyote Arena....the saying opposites attract does not hold true here. The Coyote Stadium looks like something designed and built for the present century. The Cardinal Stadium looks like something out of Star Wars....if that is something you like then that is fine. It looks out of place. Every time my husband and I come down the 101 we refer to the stadium as a Battleship. Before the roof was in place it was very open, and my husband being a former Navy man said....Gee that thing looks like a battleship. It is all silver. Do they plan on leaving everything the color of aluminum and steel or are they going to add some stucco or something????? I guess if they leave all the steel and aluminum showing you guys can refer to the place as the Battleship....maybe the C's will win a few more games.

Eventually, they should add an exit off the 101 where Bethany Home Road should be. There is nothing there presently. Now all of you guys ought to get on the bandwagon and insist that the City of Glendale name this exit (which probably will only lead to the Stadium for parking) ....PAT TILLMAN BOULEVARD. This would be a wonderful tribute to this man and the Cardinal team.

At least to me ...the Cardinal Stadium seems a little out of whack....but then maybe they will add some color eventually.

The stadium looks awesome. It looks awesome and futuristic. The Coyotes arena looks like a Wal Mart next to it, but I love them both. Maybe you should consider becoming an avid fan minercon. If you like football that is. If not, I guess it is the safe thing to pledge allegiance to the Suns and Dbacks, that way no one will ever talk smack to you. It's safe to cheer at home or on the radio. Then again, you could hop on board the AZ Cardinals express BEFORE it reaches the playoffs this year rather than afterward like the rest of AZ. I like the idea on a Pat Tillman Blvd, although I bet Pat would hate the idea. Scrap Bethany Home altogether and name it Pat Tillman Blvd. I mean what is a Bethany Home anyway?

I thought that the idea behind the silver exterior was for it to reflect the colors of the sky and the desert - so that it would even change colors during different times of the day.

I think that's a pretty cool idea...

When is that?

I know when the first game is, but when is the stadium actually going to be finished? June?

I realize I am :offtopic: , however...

"The Bethany Home Road led, not surprisingly, to the Bethany Home, way outside the city near what is now 15th Avenue. The "home" was tuberculosis sanitarium operated by a religious organization in the early 1900's."

....

minercon is on to something - maybe the "stadium" is really the Mothership, and Bootsty and George Clinto et al are going to show up on opening day and it;ll lift off into intergactic space.
The Coyotes Arena - it's ok, but the interior drywall and drop-cieling work looks kinda rushed and a bit shoddy.

Chiefs fan here, that stadium is a real beauty.

A couple of questions, will it be ready for opening day this season? Will there be anything around it?

KCMO needs to get off their butts do something with Arrowhead!

it will be ready for the 2006 season. It is only about 1/2 done right now, with the structure about 90% complete, but no interior finishes done (seats, field, concorse shops, food booths, etc)
