I'm stuck on the 14th floor of a high rise in New Orleans for the entire duration of the game.

NOT HAPPY...especially since it took me a year and a half at my current job to just get ONE weekend day off each week (Sunday).

I could watch it online if I had Sunday Ticket, but hell, we don't even have cable at home, so no Sunday Ticket.

if you can avoid the score, gamepass is awesome and after the game you could watch a condensed version of the game

For me personally it's a love/hate relationship. I personally prefer the 1pm-2pm start times, because 10-11AM is too early, especially if you get food 'to go' for the game. Pretty much have to wait until halftime. That sucks.

Thursday is a funky day for football, but as a football fan, more days with football are a good thing. But I entirely feel it would be much better on Fri or Sat. Though these interfere with high school and college so many people wouldn't be able to watch/attend. So while it feels funky, it makes perfect sense to the NFL that it's on Thur. I do like it when the NFL has Saturday games late in the season and playoffs when college games (besides bowls) are over.

NFL Network is having quite a bit of coverage of this game and has for the past few hours. So for us right now, that's good, and is more then we get when the game is on Sunday.

But also I don't like that our team risks injury and there is less time to prepare mentally and schematically for the game. At least we're at home this time, so the Hags have to deal with all the traveling.

Overall there's aspects I like and dislike. One thing is for sure, now that it is gameday, I'm excited for the game and can't wait.

Unless my research is wrong, the Cards haven't won on a Thursday since 1948. (7-15-2 all-time on Thursdays)

EDIT: I missed a victory in 1976. 8-15-2

How the hell did you get the beans above the franks?
EASY!

I'm not attending a game for the second time ever at UofP. Wife is working, my kids have tons of stuff going on, and it is a bear to try to get off work and drive out there from the far East Valley.

Gave the tickets to my friend. The other time I did this, I gave him the tickets and it was the Detroit game last year. Obviously, I have guaranteed us a victory.

You are welcome.

I recant (somewhat)--at least I won't be disappointed come Sunday. This gets it out of the way for me.

You kidding? Now we have to live with the memory of this game for a million years or so. It's not so bad when you win on Thursday but when you get your butt kicked you're usually looking at 10 days before your first chance at redemption.

The Rams broke our season last year and the Hags did it tonight. I don't expect a losing streak like last year, but we are bound for 5-11

PS I left work early to watch the rams game last year and the game tonight and it was not appreciated by the boss either time

Hate when the Cards have them at home. Driving out there from work is such a pain. Not to mention trying to figure out what to do with the kids.

Luckily my wife volunteered to stay home and let me take my friends to the game. So I'm not minding this one as much.

You know, we were coming from the EV, and we took the 60 to the 10 to the 51 to the 101. The 60/10 path is a disaster. While it's a little more distance, I think you save time on a weekday by going on the 101 North all the way around to Northern.

EASY!

They actually lost to Dallas on Thursday in 1976 according to footballdb.com.

Bump.

Still don't like TNF. IMO, Rams, who are on fire and playing at home, have a significant advantage in this game. Also, I may miss this game like the previous two TNF games we've been in.

They have an advantage because they're playing at home, and our defense clearly feeds on the chaos created by our stadium. Wouldn't be surprised to find out that the Rams feel the same way about their home-field advantage. I also think that Stanton gets rattled by opposing crowd noise, and that puts the offense at an overall disadvantage.

That being said, the Rams also have to take a travel day at the beginning of the week when they're not game-planning or whatever, and that (at least) is a small advantage that we're getting back.

Cards 10-3
Rams 6-7

Rams favored by 3.5

Don't see these odds too often with the records the way they are, with the below .500 team being favored this late in the season.....

Cards will find a way to win this one......... ON DEFENSE!!!

I hate Thursday football. It gives the team's less time for preparation and the bodies less time to get over body trauma. The home team generally has a slight advantage no travel. These games should be stopped just ask any player in the NFL. The Rams have had two easy games and are healthy.

This game might prove to be difficult. Thursday night I'll be watching and hoping we win.
